      THIS INDENTURE TRIPARTITE made the Sixth day of August in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty eight Between SETH McMILLIAN, Widow & Relict of JOHN McMILLIAN deced of County of Prince William of the first part, THOMAS HARRISON (Clk) of the County afsd. of second part; & JOHN McMILLIAN, Son of said SETH McMILLIAN of County afsd. of third part; Witnesseth that in consideration of the natural love & affection the said SETH McMILLIAN beareth for her Son, JOHN McMILLIAN & for the sum of Ten pounds current money to her in hand paid (by and with the consent of sd JOHN McMILLIAN) by THOMAS HARRISON (Clk) and for settling & assuring the lands tenements and hereditaments & slaves herein mentioned unto such uses & upon such Trusts as are herein expressed by these presents doth bargain sell release & confirm unto THOMAS HARRISON (Clk) his heirs all that tract of land lying in County of STAFORD on South side of Main Branch of CHAPPAWAMSIC RUN adjoining the lands of WILLIAM FITZHUGH MOSES LUNCE & others which tract of land was settled in tail on sd SETH McMILLIAN by her Father. THOMAS HARRISON deced, & also the following slaves Lucy. Flora. Sam. Cato Pompey, Winny, Fanney, Harry. Hannah, Milley, Phebe John & Lucy & the increase of the sd slaves, To have and to hold the lands with their appurtenances & the sd slaves with their increase unto THOMAS HARRISON (Clk) his heirs upon such Trust as herein expressed. that is to say, to the use of SETH McMILLIAN according to her Estate and Interest therein during the term of her natural life then to the use of JOHN McMILLIAN & of his heirs; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands & affixed their seals the day & year
