Married Well and Often: Marriages of the Northern Neck of Virginia, 1649-1800 p. 157 shows Margaret (maiden name Dawson/Dauson, b. 1600) married Edward Grimes as the widow of Thomas Attawell. Adventurers of Purse and Person (aka APP) shows (p. 847) she was first married to Ezekiah Wroughton (and came with him on the Bona Nova in 1619), then Thomas Attowell (variant spelling), then Edward Grimes. It is her children by Ezekiah, William Wroughton Sr. and Ann Wroughton, plus her children by Attowell, for whom Edward Grimes agreed to keep the cattle. Children were considered "orphans" if their fathers had died.

The list of the living taken in Feb. 1623 lists him asIsaias. TheMuster taken after the Indian attack calls him Ezekiak - the entriesare without a doubt the same man. I think his name was probably"Isaac" and neither list taker knew how to spell it.

      Margaret:
She came to Virginia in the same year that England sent two shiploads of youngwomen (many of them wards of the state or inmates ofdebtor's prison) to Virginia to marry the restless young men. Itwould sure be interesting to know whethershe was one of them.
Margaret was unbelievably independent. After Ezekiah'sdeath sheremarried twice but managed hers and Ezekiah's estate on her own, thank you, even though she after she had grown sons and sons-in-law.
