      Subject: RE: WILL OF ANTHONY BEARD
      I noticed on your Ancestry.com posting your note regarding the will of Anthony Beard. Here is the will as abstracted by John Frederick Dorman and Ruth & Sam Sparacio:

      Anthony Beard d. leaving a will dated 23 Oct [ ], proved 26 March 1707.
      To my son John, half the cattle, seat of land upon Weeden Dam, other chattels, one man servant Thomas Farrall.
      My son John shall pay to my dau. Sarrah at day of marriage 2500 lbs. of tobacco.
      I give my son Andrew to his brother John till he is 19;
      He is 11 now. When he is free, chattels, this plantation I now live on.
      To my wife Eliz. Beard, all the rest of my estate. {WC DWP, 1707-9:8-10; OB 1705-21:47}

      Two comments: the note on Ancestry implies both sons were age 11, whereas the will abstract mentions that only Andrew is age 11, John being the older brother. Eldest son John to pay the 2500 lbs tobacco to dau Sarah only if she marries. The other difference, which I suspect may be an error when the Westmoreland Wills were abstracted, is the abstract, above, does not mention the estate of wife Elizabeth goes to Andrew at her death. But I rather suspect what you have may be correct.

      Just FYI.
