      THIS INDENTUREmade this XXIXth and XXXth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Forty nine between THOMAS CHURCH in the County of FAIRFAX House Carpenter of one part & BENJAMIN GRAYSON of the Parish of Dittengen in the County of Prince William gent of other part Witnesseth that the said THOMAS CHURCH for the sum of Twenty five pounds current money of Virginia have sold unto the said BENJA. GRAYSON in his actual possession by virtue of a Lease for one year and by force of the statute for transferring uses into possession and to his heirs & assigns forever all that parcel of land containing One hundred and Forty four acres being in the County of Prince William and on the Branches of MURUMPSCO which was formerly taken up & PATTENTED by THOMAS CHURCH by Deed from the PROPRIETORS OFFICE bearing date the Eighteenth day of December one thousand Six hundred & Ninety four containing One hundred and Twenty four acers but on a survey made thereof by Mr. GEORGE BYRN Surveyor of Prince William County the 8th day of August 1749 is found to contain One hundred and Forty four acres and at the death of the said THOMAS CHURCH the said land descended to ROBERT CHURCH his Son who also died without Will and then the said land descended to THOS. CHURCH his only Son who is now party to these presents and is bounded Begining at a Poplar standing on the North
