      Dau. Hannah Harrison 2 negroes and furniture; son Alexander 2 negroes, he to pay my dau. Harriet Peoples 50; my late husband Lovell Harrison; son Joseph; daus. Mary Lovell and Anne Muse.

      Lovell Harrison was named in Will of his grandfather Robert Lovell (Will Book 8, p. 47).

      A Petition in Court, April 29, 1740 "sets forth his father Andrew Harrison ... personal estate to be equally divided between petitioner, his mother and three other children ... that petitioner's mother, the relict of the said Andrew Harrison intermarryed with Christopher Edrington".

      THIS INDENTURE made the Seventh day of February in the year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and forty six seven, and in the twentieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second; Between JEREMIAH CARTER of Parish of Cople and County of Westmorland, Planter, of one part and HENRY LEE of the same Parish and County, Esquire, of the other part; Witnesseth that JEREMIAH CARTER in consideration of the sum of One hundred and three pounds, Two shillings
      and Two pence current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by HENRY LEE, the receipt whereof he doth hereby confess and acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto HENRY LEE all that parcel of land (which he purchased of LOVEL HARRISON and HANNAH his Wife as will more fully appear by their Deed bearing date the Eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord Christ seventeen hundred and forty five and remaining among the Records of the Secretarys Office of this Colony),
      which land descended to HANNAH. the Wife of LOVEL HARRISON, being the only Daughter and heir at Law of JOHN FOOTMAN, Gentleman, deceased, containing by estimation One hundred acres be the same more or less lying in RAGGED POINT NECK; in Parish of Cople and County of Westmorland and bounded; Begining at a marked red Oak a corner
      tree of the late DANIEL OCANNAYs Land towards the South, from thence by a line of marked trees to the back line of the Five hundred acres late in possession of JOHN WILLIAMS, deceased, and the hereby granted One hundred acres is a part and from thence along the said back line to a red Oak corner tree adjoining to the land of the Honourable Colo. ISAAC ALLERTON, deceased, and from thence along the said ALLERTON's Line to a Creek or Branch issuing out of UNSSOCOMOCO CREEK formerly called HERDS CREEK, from thence up the Creek or Branch to a white Oak corner tree of said OCANNAYs and from thence along said OCANNAYs land to the beginning red Oak, which one hundred acres of land more or less is part or parcel of a tract of Five hundred acres granted unto JAMES HERD by Patent dated the Eighteenth day of October sixteen hundred and fifty

      July sixteen hundred and seventy six duly proved and recorded devised and bequeathed the same to JOHN TRAMMEL and his heirs, and by JOHN TRAMMEL and MARY his Wife by Deeds duly proved and executed dated the twentieth day of March sixteen hundred and ninety conveyed to JOHN FOOTMAN. Father of the aforesaid JOHN FOOTMAN (also five Negro slaves, to wit, Toney, Dick, Juda, Harry, Dorcas, twelve head of Cattle, thirty two head of Hogs, four feather beds and furniture, a dozen chairs, a desk and two oval tables) and also the rents and services of the premises; To have and to hold the one hundred acres of land premises, slaves, stocks and goods above mentioned unto HENRY LEE his heirs during the term of (blank) years next ensuing; paying theerfore yearly one Pepper Corn upon the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel if demanded.
