      Apr 1, 1741 from Henry Darnall of Portland Manor in Anne Arundel County, Gentleman, to William Digges of PG, Gentleman, for 80 sterling, a tract of land called Henritta Maria, now in PG on the Branches of the Eastern Branch of Potomack River, originally in Charles County, & laid out on about Feb 14, 1685 for Susanna Darnall, widow and relict of John Darnall for 500 acres. Signed - Henry Darnall, C Mannoe, Eliz. Darnall. Wit - Richard Keene*, Tho Owen*. This deed was acknowledged by Henry Darnall and Elizabeth, his wife. Elizabeth relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned. Recd from Mr. William Digges (by the hands of Mr. Clement Hill Jr), the alienation fine. Recorded Apr 8, 1741

      By codicil dated 28th May, 1685, testator bequeaths 500 A., part of a tract of 1,000 A. bought of Henry Parker to son James, and 800 A., "Niminee" and "Niminee's Addition" to daus. Mary and Jane; testator also makes void bequest to Susanna Darnall. MCW 4. 186.
