Andrew Marshall's wife was JANE BITTER. She went to Overton County Tennessee and lived near daughter Esther Marshall Campbell who married James Campbell in Washington County Virginia. She is buried at the old Campbell/Evans Cemetery. I believe the cemetery is situated in present day Fentress County,Tennessee. According to the cemetery record, Jane Bitter Marshall's grave is marked by a "funny shaped stone" hewn out of solid limestone rock. She was born in Dublin Ireland and came to America with her parents before the Revolutionary War. She lived near Alpine, Tennessee which was the ancestral home of a branch of Cherokee Indians under chief Nettle Carrier. She was attending a camp meeting at a campground springs when whe was taken sick and died. The campground springs consists of five springs situated between Parker and Chanute, Tennessee.
