On August 25,1688, Jane Cock had her son-in-law, Lt. John Smith, draw up her last will; she seemed to emphasize her religious commitment in the preamble of this document, "first and chiefly I do bequeath my soule to God who gave it, hopeing through ye merits of my blessed Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, to obtaine perfect remition & forgiveness of all my sins & to be reseaved into his Everlasting Kingdome." She wanted "my grandon Rice Curtis be kept at schole till he hath learned to reade, write & cast accounts and yt ye charge be deducated from my estate."38 she remembered her three Jones grandsons with a female calf each and the same to her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Jane Curtis. She wanted her eldest son living, Nicholas Curtis, to serve as estate executor, but he appears to have died before his mother so that Maurice Cock qualified that way. The old lady proudly signed her name to this last will and her seal was pressed upon it (a rubbed impression of which was made by the author from the original will in the clerk's office in December of 1985).

Jane Cock died in the spring of 1694.
