      KNOW ALL by these prsents that wee FRANCIS TAYLER as MARRYING with ELIZABETH, the Daughter of CHARLES SNEAD deced, and CHARLES SNEAD, Son of the said CHARLES SNEAD, both of the County of Rappa:, Planters, have sold unto DAVID ENNIS [Evins] of the foresd. County, Planter, his heires and assignes two hundred twenty five acres of land lying on the North side of RAPPA' RIVER being part of a divident of land given by Mr. CHARLES SNEAD deced unto THOMAS and WM. SNEAD, his Sons, the Moyety of wch devolved upon the said FRANCIS TAYLOR as Marrying ELIZABETH SNEAD, aforesaid as by the Will of the said SNEAD bearing date ye 17th of Aprill 1671 may and doth appeare for the sume of Three thousand three hundred pounds of Tob: and Cask paid or secured to be paid by the sd ENNIS [Evins] to the said TAYLER which said land is to be laid out by the said TAYLER within one yeare after the date hereof and is to be the lower part of the land and adjoyning to the land of HAWKINS SNEAD To have and to hold the above prmises and every part thereof with all woods waters and profitts belonging unto DAVID ENNIS his heires and assignes forever In Witness whereof the parties have sett their hands and Seales the 4th day of Janry. 1681 signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us JAMES ORCHARD, FRANCIS AYLER

Between FRANCIS TAYLER and ELIZABETH his Wife of the one pt. and JNO. CARPENTER of the other part all of the County of Rappa. Witnesseth that the said FRANCIS TAYLER and ELIZABETH his Wife for the sum of Two thousand five hundred pounds of Tobac; and cask to them in hand paid have granted unto the said JOHN CARPENTER and assignes forever One hundred acres of land being in the Parish of Scitingborn & said County of Rappa: and lying and joyning & being upon the said River Rappa: begining at the Landing now called and knowne by the name of JAMES BROWNES LANDING and runing thence from the River to the said BROWNs Plantation, and thence down the known line of JOHN MARTINE to make up the said before mentioned hundred acres in one Intire parcell togeather with all its members and appurtenances belonging To have and to hold the said one hundred acres unto said JOHN CARPENTER his heires and the said FRANCIS TAYLER and ELIZABETH his Wife doe hereby agree that if it should happen upon survay and laying out of the said hundred acres of land above sold that any part of the said complemt, should be wanting to perfect the said one hundred acres wch in the above prscribed bounds that then it may be lawful! for the said JOHN his heires to take in Survay and measure to himselfe or themselves soe much land of the said FRANCIS and ELIZABETH next adjoyning & most convenient for the said JOHN to make up the Deft.       KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I FRANCIS TAYLER and ELIZABETH TAYLER Wife to the sd FRANCIS TAYLER, both of the County of Rappa:, for diverse causes and in consideration of Two thousand five hundred pounds of Tobb: already in hand reced have sold from us & either of us unto ROBERT NEWBURNE of the said County his heires forever a certain parcell of land conteying One hundred acers being in the County aforesaid being part of a Patent of land granted to CHARLES SNEAD deced for 883 acers bearing date 18th March 1662, Beginning at a certaine small schrubby red Oake in the head line in the sd Grand Divident being the corner tree to a certain parcell of land sold to ROBT. KING deced, out of the aforesd. Patent conteyning 22) acers and extending itself thence over the main branch of CHARLES BEAVER DAM thence down the sd branch and over the maine branch again S. W. to the first station he the sd NEWBURN his heires paying every yeare such quitrents and services as shall become due and payable for the same And Furthermore it is agreed upon by all the parties to these presents that he the sd NEWBURNE his heires may peaceably and quietly possess the same without the lett or disturbance of either of them the said FRANCIS or ELIZABETH or their heires and shall acknowledge these presents in open Court when they shall be thereunto required by the said ROBERT NEWBURNE In Witness whereof we the sd FRANCIS TAYLER and ELIZABETH TAYLER have sett our hands and fixed our Seales this 19th day of February Ano Dom 1686 the True Intent and meaning is that we the Subscribers do warrant the sd land from any person or persons that shall lay any manner of claime or title unto the same as Witness our hand &c. TAYLER and his Wife make sale of and is bound by the severall heires of DAVID STERNE, JAMES TRENT, RICHARD MATHEWS and THOMAS SNEAD; the other parcell of land whereof THO: SNEAD makes sale of Qt: Eighty acers more or less and lyes betwixt the aforesaid Parcell and the BEAVERDAM being all the land wee hold on the upper side of the Dam aforesd.
