      HIS INDENTURE made this first day of April: in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and tenn Between WILLIAM HAMOCK the Younger of the Pish, of NORTH FARNHAM in County of Richmond of one part and WILLIAM HAMOCK the Elder of the Pish: of COPLE and County of WESTMORELAND of the other parte; Witnesseth that WILLIAM HAMOCK the Younger for Three thousand pounds of tobacco to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by WILLIAM HAMOCK the Elder by these presents doth bargain and sell unto WILLIAM HAMOCK the Elder all that One hundred acres of land lying in the Pish. of NORTH FARNHAM and County of Richmond being part of Three hundred acres of land heretofore sold by one THOMAS FRESHWATER to WILLIAM HAMOCK, late of County of Richmond deced, and by him the said HAMOCK Patented in the Proprietors Office of the Northern Neck of Virginia as by a certain Patent granted under the hand of GEORGE BRENT Gent. then one of the Agents for the said Proprietors as by said Patent dated the eighteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Six hundred and ninety fower may appear, being bounded Beginning at a marked white Oak being a corner tree of the aforesaid Patent and from thence running North thirty seven degrees East one hundred and fifty one poles to a red Oak being another corner of the said Patent and from thence running South fifty one degrees East one hundred and seven poles, from thence running South thirty seven degrees West one hundred fifty one poles from thence North fifty one degrees West one hundred and seven poles to the place where it first began, together with all houses orchards woods and appurtenances thereto belonging; To have and to hold the said One hundred acres of land with all its rights members and appurtenances unto WILLIAM HAMOCK the Elder and his heirs and WILLIAM HAMOCK the Younger the premises unto WILLIAM HAMOCK the Elder will warrant and forever defend from the claime of any person; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably sett their hands & seals the day & year first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the third day of March in the Eleventh year of the
      Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., And in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred thirty and seven; Between WILLIAM WALKER of ST.       KNOW ALL MEN by these presents tht I WILLIAM WALKER of ST.MARYs County in the Province of MARYLAND am held and firmly bounden and do by these presents stand justly indebted unto WILLIAM LANE of Cople Parish and Westmorland County in Virginia in the full and just sum of Seventy pounds current money of Virginia, to the which payment well and truly to be made I bind my self my heirs firmly by these presents, Sealed with my seal dated the third day of March in the Eleventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c, And in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred thirty and seven
      THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden WILLIAM WALKER his heirs shall truly observe and keep all covenants which on his or their parts ought to be observed and kept comprized in one Indenture of Bargain and Sale made between WILLIAM WALKER and WILLIAM LANE according to the true meaning of the same Indenture, That then the above obligation to be void and of no effect otherwise to stand remain continue and be in full force power strength and virtue. N. B, it is agreed to be part of the condition of the above written obligation that PHILISLY, Wife of WILLIAM WALKER, shall personally appear before the County Court of Westmorland at some Court there held within six months next to come and there personally relinquish her right of Dower and Thirds at the Common Law in the land and premises mentioned in the Deed of Bargain and Sale and on failure of the Dower being relinquished WILLIAM LANE to stop payment of eighteen hundred pounds of tobacco part of the consideration stipulated for the land; this entered before signing and sealing Signed Sealed and deliver presence of
