      Christiana Mackall Will
      in the name of God Amen; I Christiana Mackall of George Town in the District of Columbia being sick in body but sound in mind memory and understanding do make and declare this my last will and testament
      I give and bequeath to my dear daughter Margaret Johns Key all my lots or property I have in the city of Washington in the District of Columbia
      I give and bequeath to my daughter Harriet Caroline Mackall a tract of land in Montgomery County state of Maryland commonly called "North West" supposed to contain 196 acres. Also a tract of land in Washington County District of Columbia near Semmes Mill containing 5 acres more or less. Also my lands in the state of Virginia on Tygart Valley supposed to contain 490 acres. Also my personal estate of every kind.
      And finally I appoint my son Lewis Mackall executor of my last will and testament
      in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed my seal this 4th day of June in the year 1843 Christina Mackall [seal]

      this day appeared Benjamin F. Mackall one of the subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of Christiana Mackall late of Washington County aforesaid and made oath on the holy evangel of Almighty God that he did see the testatrix therein named sign and seal this will that hurt published and declare the same to be her last will and testament that at the time of so doing she was to the best of his apprehension of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and that he together with Martha Mackall And Brooke Mackall the other subscribing witnesses respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the request of the testatrix and with presence of each other. At the same time appeared Lewis Mackall the executor now the aforegoing last will and testament of Christiana Mackall deceased and made oath on the holy evangel's of Almighty God that the aforegoing is the whole and last will and testament of said deceased that hath come to his hands for knowledge and that he doth not know of any other

      Charles County, Maryland Land Records 1810-1811; Liber IB-9 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 152. At the request of Basil Spalding the following Deed was recorded October 26, 1810
      Indenture made between Benjamin Mackalll and Christiana Mackall of Prince George's County, Maryland of the one part and Basil Spalding of CC of the other part. Whereas Brooke Beall in his lifetime now deceased and father to Christiana Mackall did bargain and sell all the lands hereafter mentioned to Basil Spalding since deceased and father to the said Basil Spalding. And whereas Basil Spalding departed this life without having executed a deed for the tract of land and whereas under the will of basil Spalding the father and by an agreement with those claiming under said will in this deed is entitled to the said tract or parcel of land and whereas Aquila Beall, Benjamin Mackall and Christiana Mackall his wife as three of the heirs of Brooke Beall is willing and desirous to convey to Basil Spalding their right title and interest to the said tract. Now this indenture witness that Aquila Beall, Benjamin Mackall and Christiana Mackall his wife in consideration of the premises and the sum of 5 shillings have sold unto Basil Spalding all that tract of land lying in Charles County called "Green's Inheritance" containing 57 acres. Signed Aquila Beall, Benjamin Mackall, Christiana Mackall in the presence of and acknowledged before the Fielder Dorsett, Alexander Sandsbury, justices of the peace for Prince George's County, on June 2, 1810.
