      Wife: Celia Foote - 1/3 estate during life, riding horse and mourning ring - if children should die without heirs all the property should go to her to dispose of as she thinks proper
      Son: Richard Helm Foote - all lands and 1/2 of my other estate consisting of Negroes & Chattels
      Dau.: Hesther Foote - 1/2 Negroes & chattels - to be divided between them when they come to age or marry - it is my desire that my wife's thirds in Negroes and Chattels at her decease be equally divided between my above mentioned Children and it is my further desire that if my wife should be pregnant with a son, that then he have my Land on the South side of Town Run & an equal proportion of my negroes and Chattels, if a daughter, than only an equal proportion of my negroes and Chattels

      Note ed.: Minute Book, 1775-83, 24 August 1778: "Ord. William Grant, Jeremiah Darnall & Original Young do allot to Celia, the widow of George Foote & now the wife of Wm. Blackwell her dower in the said George Foote's Est. & also settle her acct. of the Admor. of the sd. Foote's Est."
      Details: Allotment of slaves, livestock, household utensils, amounting to 2457.15. "We then proceeded to allot her Dower of the Land in presence of Capt. John Mofett, Surveyor of the County which amounted to 4762 acres. (Plat included) Notes from plat and description: Dowells Run, Mr. Wm. Coppage, Mr. John Wood, Town Run, Mr. Rich'd. Foote, Mr. Bullett, Cedar Run, Mr. Richard Foote, decd., Col. Harrison's Old Mill Dam. "The above is a plot of 1430 Acres of Land belonging to the Estate of Mr. George Foote Deceased & Divided as above agreeable to the will of Mr. Rich'd. Foote, Sr. Deceased & an Order From the Worshipfull Court of Fauquier County Between Capt. William Blackwell, Miss Betty Foote & the Orphans of the said George." John Wood and Bailey Wood, chain-carriers, J. Moffett, S.F.C. Anthony Jett and Andrew Flowers.

      Details: A Parcel of Books, L3; Virginia Laws, 1 vol., 10 shillings.
      Allotment: "To Celia Graham late the widow William Blackwell, deceased, but now the wife of George
      Graham her dower": cash, plus "all that tract ..purchased by the said William Blackwell from John Wood, by deed bearing date the 16th September 1779 containing 130 acres on Town Run adjoining the lands of George Crosby and George Foote deceased. We allot this tract of land for the Dower of Celia Graham in
      lieu of her Dower in all the Lands of the said Wm. Blackwell deceased and also in lieu of 111 acres of Land decreed to her by the High Court of Chancery dated 16th May 1791 as by deed of relinquishment hereunto annexed will more fully appear."
