      Indenture made October 17, 1791; Charles Maddox, planter in consideration of the natural love and affection he hath and beareth towards his son Notley Maddox, Gentleman as also 5 shillings has assigned all his right to a lease of land being part of "Lordships Kindness" containing 161 acres; also Negroes John (51 years), Henry (20 years), Marlborough (35 years), William (18 years), George (22 years), Jeremiah (19 years), Basil (3 years), Richard (2 years), Ann (25 years) and her suckling child, Elizabeth (17 years) and her suckling child, Rachel (14 years), Ann (11 years), Elizabeth (8 years), Mary (6 years), Aminta (5 years), Catharine (4 years); also 6 horses, 9 cattle, 17 sheep, 20 hogs, 5 feather beds with complete furniture, 2 desks, 1 book case and all the present crop of corn and tobacco now growing. Signed Charles Maddox in the presence of David Craufurd, Charles Nevitt and acknowledged before David Craufurd, Walter Bowie, associate judge of PGCo
