WHITE, JOHN, aged 63; 18 Feb. 1747; 29 Jan. 1750-1. Mill and land to son George; dau. Mary household goods; dau. Anne Walker 1 negro and pewter; son William 1 negro; dau. Sarah Russell 20 shillings; grandchildren John and Elizabeth White 5 shillings each; wife Mary 2 negroes and rest of estate.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen, I JOHN WHITE aged sixty three years old or thereabout do make constitute & appoint this to be my Last Will & Testamt. in manner & form following, & first I give & bequeath my Soul into the hands of god that gave it me hopeing & trusting to have pardon of all my sins there meritted of my Blessed Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ, & my body to be buryed in a descent manner att the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, & for that Estate that I have, I give and bequeath in manner & form following.
I give & bequeath to my Son, GEORGE WHITE all my land & Plantation & my Mill, & all belonging to it, provided he doth not sell it, and if he should that his Brother & Sisters should hve an equal part. I also give to my Son, GEORGE, my Pistols & Holsters & Ketash Box my Cart & Wheels & Collar. & Plough & Traces, one bed and bedstead & furniture that he lyes on, one Brandy Still wth: Tubb & Worm, one dosen of tite casks & one Negro girl named Sarah & if he should die without heir to return back. I also give to my son, GEORGE, one Inglish Chest with Lock & Key & one iron pot & hooks & all my Carpenters & Coopers Tools & a set of shoe makers tools & a turning knife.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter, MARY WHITE, one feather bed & bedstead & furniture & one large looking glass, one Cubboard & one post & hooks & two pewter Dishes, two pewter Porrengers & two pewter Basons, four pewter Plates, two Flagg Chairs & one Negro girl named Hannah & all her increase, & is she shou d die without heir to return back again. I also give my Daughter, MARY, one half oval table, one brass kittle, one Chest with a Dutch Lock & Key, one box iron & girl heaters,
Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter, ANN WALKER, one Negro named Nanny, two Flag Chairs, two pewter Dishes, two pewter Plates, one pewter Bason, one iron pott, two pewter Porrengers;
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son, WILLM. WHITE, one Negro woman named Jeaney & if he should die without heir of his body to return back again
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter, SARAH RUSSEL twenty shillgs. currt money of Virga.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Grandson, JOHN WHITE & ELIZATH: his Sister, each of them five pounds currt. money of Virginia to be paid them when they come of age.
Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife, MARY WHITE, one Negro man named Jack & a Negro boy named Joe & all the rest of my Estate during her natural life & then that Negro Jack may return to my Son, GEORGE WHITE, & for the rest to be at her own disposal & to see the true performance of this my Last Will & Testamt., I make constitute & appoint my Wife, MARY, & my Son, GEORGE, to be my Exors. for to see this my Will truly performed; In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand & fix my seal this Eighteenth day of February one thousand seven hundred & forty six seven.

Westmorland Sc. At a Court held for the sd. County the 29th day of January 1750/1 This Last Will & Testamt. of JOHN WHITE, deced., was presented into Court by GEORGE WHITE, one of his Exors. therein named, (the other Exor. having refused to take the burthen of the execution) who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oaths of WILLM. ROCHESTER & WILLM. PORTER, two of the witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record; And upon the motion of the sd. Executor & his performing what the Law in such cases require, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
