      THIS INDENTURE made this fifth day of July in the year of Our Lord God one thousand seven hundred arid twenty five; Between JAMES TAYLOR of Drysdale Parish in COunty of KING and QUEEN, Gent., of one part and ANTHONY GHOLSTON of Saint George Parish in Spotsylvania County, Planter, of other part; Wittnesseth that JAMES TAYLOR in consideration of the SUM of fifty pounds of tobacco to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto ANTHONY GHOLSTON his heirs two hundred acres of land which is part of a greater devident of five thousand acres of land scituate on the South side of HOLLODAY's SWAMP in Saint George Parish in Spotsylvania County and bounded; Beginning at two white Oakes on the North side of HOLLODAYs SWAMP in HOLLODAY's line, thence South by West two hundred and six poles to a stooping white Oak and great white Oak in the back line of Mr. SMITH and Mr. THOMAS a corner to the said HOLLODAY on the North side a Branch or Meadow, thence North forty seven degrees West one hundrd and eighty five poles to Mr. THOMAS's corner white Oake, thence North five degrees East one hundred and fifty four poles to a corner Hickory and Spanish Oak of the said THOMAS's and TAYLOR's on the South side of HOLLODAY's RUN thence down the Run to the beginning; and all houses and buildings thereon standing with all orchards profitts and appurtenances thereunto belonging; To have and to hold the land and premsies with appurtenances unto ANTHONY GHOLSTON his heirs from the day before the date hereof for and during the term of one whole year thence next ensueing that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession ANTHONY GHOLSTON may be in actuall possession of the premises and enabled to take a release of the same to him his heirs, In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably sett their hands and seals the day and year first above written
