Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1752-1757; Liber NN {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 188. At the request of Thomas Bowie the following Deposition was recorded September 5, 1753
Memorandum this July 25, 1720. At the request of Mrs. Elizabeth Brooke widow of Mr. Roger Brooke, the following deposition was taken by me one of his lordships justice for the peace.
About 23 or 24 years ago, Mr. Robert Tyler aged 49 years declares upon a marked red oak standing on the north side of a small path that leads out of ye main road to the eastward of Thomas Pindell's plantation, that the said red oak was shewn to me by Thomas Pindell or Hugh Riley or both to be the dividing tree parcel of land sold by Hugh Riley to Thomas Pindell and John Boyd called "Ryleys Lott". Also the deponent went at the request of old Robert Anderson, old John Boyd, deceased, Richard Brogden to a bounded hickory standing on the southward of ye lower dry meadow when John Boyd bought Brogdens Land. Also on ye same day ye deponent went to an old bounded white oak standing on the northwest corner of Methitable Pierpont's now dwelling plantation which was shewed by Robert Anderson, John Boyd, Richard Brogden to be the third bounded tree of a tract called "Cattail Meadows" then in possession of Robert Anderson. Also on the same day {blank} and Robert Brogden went to a bound red oak on the east side of Collington main branch which the two said persons said it to be a bounded tree of Brogden's land which is now in possession of the heirs of Roger {Anderson} and he futher declares that at the time Roger Brooke and John Boyd exchanged land she was with them and several other persons to whom the forementioned trees were shewn to be the bounded trees as above mentioned and further saith not. Sworn and examined by Ralph Crabb
