      THIS INDENTURE made the 17th day of January in the yeare of our Lord 1687/8 and in the second yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord James the second &c. Between TOBIAS MICHELBURROW of MIDDLESEX COUNTY, Plantr., of the one part and JOHN ELLIOTT of Rappa: County, Plantr., of the other part Witnesseth that the sd TOBIAS MICHELBURROW for and in consideracon of Two English men Servants and One thousand pounds of good sound sweet sensed tobacco and caske to him already paid hath sold unto JOHN ELLIOTT his heires forever that One hundred acers of land being in Farnham Parish in Rappa. County of the South side of Rappa: River which sd land is conteyned within the severall bounds and distances following, that is to say, Beginning at a decayed marked red Oake standing upon the side of a bank of Rappa: River, thence running through part of an old field joyning on the land of WM. BOWLER along a line of marked trees into the Woods to the POPLAR NECK SWAMP and so up the sd Swamp its severall courses and up a branch of the same to a Plantacon belonging to THO: PAYNE joyning to the sd Plantacon alonge the edge of the cleared ground to a line of marked trees dividing the said Three hundred acers of land from the land of Majr: HENRY SMYTH deced, thence alonge the sd line to a large marked Oake on the branch of Rappa: River side to the first mentined Place and was granted to the sd TOBIAS MICHELBURROW and his heires forever by THO: PAYNE by his Deed Indented (blank) day of (blank) 168(blank) together with all houses orchards woods cleared ground and appurtinances whatsoever to the sd premisses belonging to be held as fully and amply as the same is granted to the sd TOBIAS MICHELBURROW by the sd THOS: PAYNE To have and to hold to the sd JOHN: ELLIOTT his heires forever and sd TOBIAS MICHELBURROW at any time at the request and charges in the Law of sd JNO. ELLIOTT make or cause to be made unto the sd JNO. ELLIOTT further and other lawfull assurances in the Law for the further better assuring of the sd land as by sd JOHN ELLIOTT his heirs or their Councell learned in the Law shall be reasonably required In Witness whereof the sd Parties have sett their hands and seales the day and yeare above written.       - In a Writt of Dower brought by BARTHOLOMEW YATES and SARAH his Wife, who was the Wife of TOBIAS MICKLEBURROUGH deced demandants and OLIVER SEGAR Guardian of the lands and Herditaments of JOHN MICKLEBURROUGH Respondt. for the one third part of Six hundred and sixty two acres of land in this County as being the Dowry of her the said Sarah of the endowment of the aforesaid Tobias Mickleburrough in times past her husband the Respondt. appeared and makeing no objection at the Demandts. motion it is ordered that the Sherriff of this County sometime between this and the next Court put the Demandts. into possession of the one third part of the aforesaid Six hundred and sixty two acres of land and it is further ordered that he make report of the proceedings to the next Court.
      Middlesex County Sct By virtue of an order of the said County Court dated the 3d of November 1707 to me directed on the 28th day of the said month I gave full possession of the third part of the lands of Tobias Mickleburrough to the Demandts. in the same order To Wit Two hundred acres of land commonly called by the name of NICHOLLS FOLLY bounded beginning at a Red oak in BEUFORDs line and running South East to a Hickory on a hill over a small branch thence North East to a Hickory in Mr. ROBERT PRICEs line thence North East to the place it begun and Twenty one acres of land part of a Patent granted to THOMAS PATTISSON dated the 2d of June 1657 and by the said Pattisson conveyed to JOHN BEDFORD by Deed the 17th September 1659 and by the said John Beuford sold to MOSES BUFFERY by Deed and by said Moses Buffery conveyed to EDMUND MICKLEBURROUGH by Deed dated the 16th of February 1664 To be held by the said Demandts. in the name of the Dower of the said Sarah to her of right belonging from the lands of the said Tobias Mickleburrough according to the saide order

      Lands and hereditaments of JOHN MICKLEBURROUGH, Respondt., for the one third part of six hundred sixty two acres ofland with the appurtenances in this County as being the Dowery of said SARAH of ye Endowment of TOBIAS MICKLEBURROUGH in times past, her Husband, wherein the Order oflast Court was that ye Sheriff of this County should put ye Demandts's in possession of one third part of ye six hundred sixty two acres of land with appurtenances and report his proceedings thereupon to this Court and the Sheriff haveing made the following report [to witt] Middlesex County Set. By virtue of an Order of the County Court bearing date the 3d

      LEWIS's land, thence North East two hundred twenty nine poles to the place it began and twenty one acres part of a Patent granted to THOMAS PATTISON dated ye 2d day of June 1657 and by said PATTISON conveyed to JOHN BEWFORD by Deed dated ye 17th day of September 1659 and by JOHN BEWFORD sold and conveyed to MOSES BUFFRY by Deed and by MOSES BUFFRY conveyed to EDMUND MICKLEBURROGH by Deed dated the 16th of February 1664 to be held by the Demandts. in ye name of ye Dower of ye said SARAH to her of right belonging from the Lands of TOBIAS MICKLEBURROUGH as specified according to said Order.
