      This Indenture made 23d November in Tenth year of the Reign of our Lord George the Third 1770 between JOSEPH JAMES of County of Culpeper and MARY his Wife and JOHN HILL of County of Fairfax for sum of Two hundred pounds current money of Virginia hath sold unto John Hill tract in Parish of Brumfield containing by a Survey thereof made 200 acres which Joseph James purchased of WILLIAM GREEN Gent deceast late of the said County of Culpeper being part of a larger tract belonging to William Green near the Ragged Mountain Beginning at three white oaks and a poplar on the south side of Hughes's River being a corner between the land of William Green deced & ROBERT GREEN now the property of the Reverend MONGOE MARSHALL deced thence up the several courses of the said River to three black gums on Landrum Run thence down the several courses of the Run to the land of Mr. GEORGE WEATHERALL formerly NICHOLAS GREEN's thence with his line to Marshall's line thence with his line to the beginning .. To hold together with the WATER GRIST MILL thereon now standing with all her Running geir and all houses ..
