      Northumberland County Court July 21, 1698
      ANNE HULL Administratrix of JOHN HULL brings Suit against Capt. PETER HACK and Mr. CHARLES HARRIS Surviving Trustees or Overseers of the Estate of RICHARD HULL deceased and by her Attorney RICHARD HANYE shows that the said RICHARD, by bond under his hand and Seal dated February 15, 1692 did oblige himself to pay to the said JOHN HULL eighteen thousand pounds of Tobacco and Cask on Condition that if the said RICHARD did not within five years the said JOHN's Executors etc. should demand the same, pay him or them nine thousand pounds of Tobacco and Cask or within one year after, Seal and Execute unto the said JOHN a sufficient Deed of Sale of one hundred eighty two acres of land in Maryland, pay him three thousand pounds of Tobacco and Cask, two well grown hogs and four barrels of Indian Corn and says in fact that the said Condition is unperformed wherefore she has brought her Action in her said Capacity against the said Defendants and prayed Order against them in their said Capacity for the ready payment of the said sum of eighteen thousand pounds of Tobacco and Cask And the Defendants prayed an Injunction in Chancery to Stop the proceedings at Common Law to a hearing in that Honorable Court which is granted them etc.
