On June 10th 1686 did then in obedience to yr, Worships Order bearing date the 19th of May 1686, in the difference between ROBT: SISSON, Plant., and RICHARD BRAMHAM, Deft., lay out a certaine parcell of land by a Patent granted to THO: FRESHWATER for 200 acres bearing date the 26th of September 1664 as above is expressed and demonstrated do finde that by running the W: by S. course doth fall somewhat to the Southward of the old Corner tree the distance being but one degree and 1/2 in the course the stake standing from the Corner tree 13 per. and that the runing to the Branch that proceeds out of Mr. WILLIAMSONS CREEK being expressed bounds mencioned in the Pattent causeth the line to Encrease 60 per: more than is expressed in the Pattent leaving out the sd BRAMHAMs House and the greatest part of his clere ground the other lines running upon right lines according to the expression of the sd Patent as above is layed down in the Plat.

      THIS INDENTURE made this twenty ninth day of August Anno Dom: one thousand
      seven hundred & nine Between RICHARD BRANHAM of County of Richmond of one part and JOHN POUND JUNR. of said County of other part; Witnesseth that RICHARD BRANHAM for ye sum of Six thousand five hundred pounds of good tobacco in hand paid by these presents doth bargain sell make over and release unto JOHN POUND JUNR. his heirs being in the actuall possession thereof by vertue of a Lease and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession one tract of land containing by estimation one hundred and five acres of land more or less with the appurts. whatsoever lying in the Pish of NORTH FARNHAM in said County and bounded (description of the bounds of the land as in the foregoing Lease) To have and to hold said one hundred acres of land with the appurts. of him said RICHARD BRANHAM hereby granted unto JOHN POUND JUNR. his heirs, and RICHARD BRANHAM will warrant and forever defend by these presents free and clear from all former incumbrances whatsoever; In Witness whereof the parties aforesd. to these present interchangeably have sett their hands and seals the day & year first above written

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I RICHARD BRAMHAM of Pish of NORTH FARNHAM in County of Richmond, Planter, doe owe and stand justly indebted unto JOHN POUND JUNR. of said Pish. & County, Planter, the full & just sum of Thirteen thousand pounds of good tobacco in caske to be paid which payment well & truely to be made I bind my selfe my heirs firmly by these presents. Sealed with my seale and dated this 29th day of August Anno Dom 1709
      The Condition of the above obligation is such that if RICHARD BRAMHAM his heirs together wth. ANN his Wife do acknowledge or cause to be acknowledged a certain Deed of Feoffmt in the County Court of Richmond next to JOHN POUND JUNR. and faithfully perform all causes and paragraphs that in the said Deed are contained that then this present obligation to be void & of none effect otherwise to stand remain & be in full power & venue

      THIS INDENTURE made the Second day of Novemer one thousand seven hundred & nine Between AUSTIN BROCKENBROUGH of the Pish. of FARNHAM and County of Richmond of the one parte and CHARLES BARBER of said Pish. & County of the other parte; Witnesseth that AUSTIN BROCKENBROUGH for Seaventy pds. to him in hand paid by CHARLES BARBER by these presents doth bargain sell release and confirm unto CHARLES BARBER (in his actual! possession now being by vertue of a bargain and sale for one whole year and by force of a statute for transferring uses into possession) and to his heirs all that p:cell of land conteigning Two hundred and forty acres (description of the bounds of the land as in the foregoing Lease) the said p:cell of land being formerly granted unto RICHARD BRANHAM by Patent bearing date the 14th day of October 1665 and by him transferred unto Mr. HENRY AUSTIN deced, and by him devised unto his Widdow, MRS.       TO ALL CHRISTIAN PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come, Know yee that I RICHARD BRANHAM of ye Pish: of Farnham and County of Richmond, send Greeting in our Lord God everlasting; that for the naturall love and affection I have and bare for and towards my Son, JOHN BRANHAM and for divers other causes me hereunto moving by these p:sents doe freely give and make over unto the said JOHN BRANHAM his heyres all that p:cell of land being ye Reversion of a Pattent of Land formerly granted unto me the said RICHARD BRANHAM for Two hundred seaventy and one acres wth: the appurtenances thereunto belonging; wth: all houses orchards profitts and hereditaments belonging; To have and to hold the p:cell of land unto JNO; BRANHAM his heyres; And RICHARD BRANHAM for himselfe his heyres will warrant and for ever defend from him the said RICHARD BRANHAM his heyres or any person laying claime to said p:cell of land; In Witt: whereof I the said RICHARD BRANHAM doe hereunto sett my hand and fix my seal this ith day of Decemb: 1714
