      WILL OF JAMES MICOU
      In the Name of God. I James Micou of Hanover Parish in King George County being of sound mind and memory yet knowing the uncertainty of human life and that I may die suddenly, to prevent all disputes relating to my worldly estate I make this my last Will & Testament.
      I give my loving wife all the land I bought of Thomas Thatcher and all my Negros during her natural life, one of my Negros a woman named Judy and her increase I give to my wife and her heirs forever.
      I give my wife all my personal estate whatsoever.
      I also give my wife the use of my tract of land by King George Court House and that in Spotsylvania County until my nephew Thomas Hill comes of age. I give to my nephew Thomas Hill after the death of my wife all the land above mentioned if he lives to be of age or has a child lawfully begotten to him and his child and their heirs forever, but if otherways then to my nephew Leonard Hill and his heirs forever.
      I appoint my Brethren in Law William and Moore Fantleroy and my loving wife Executors and Executrix of this my last Will & Testament dated this Eighteenth day of October One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty five. Sign'd and Sealed with my own hand.

      The Last Will and Testament of James Micou, Deceased, was presented into Court by William Fantleroy his Executor and Elizabeth Micou his Widdow and Executrix who made oath thereto and the same was proved by the oaths of the witnesses thereto subscribed and admitted to record.
