      "Surry County marriage bonds:
      Sally Hill to Thomas Chapman Jan. 20, 1820 signed by Elias Turner.
      Feb. 14 1831: Administration upon the estate of deceased John Hill is granted to Thomas Chapman who gave bond of $100.00, with Loses Rich as security. William D. Kelly, Thomas Chapman, Horatio Atha & Trueman Roby are to lay off the allowance for Sarah, the widow of Leonard Hill.

      William Robey, Will, July 1, 1808; December 13, 1808
      I, William Robey of CC, being sick and weak of body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding;
      To son, Aquilla Roby, 1 yoke (or pair) of young steers and my cart and 1 feather bed, bedstead and furniture.
      To daughter Mary Roby, 1 loom and half the weaving gear or apparatus which I may die possessed of, 1 red brindled cow, and 1 feather bed, beadstead and furniture.
      To daughter Deborah Padgett, 1 loom and half the weaving gear or apparatus which I have at the time of my death, 1 red brindled cow and 1 white heifer (now in her possession), 1 feather bed, beadstead and furniture, and 1 flax (or linen) wheel.
      To wife Ann Roby, 1 motley coloured cow, and 1 feather bed, beadstead and furniture.
      To surviving children and wife, the residue of my estate equally, but should my sons George Robey and Truman Roby (who have removed to the southern states), not think proper to claim their respective parts, then remaining children and wife to share equally their parts.
