      1776 - 1781 STAFFORD COUNTY LEGISLATIVE PETITIONS
      1779, May 15 - Petition of John Richards, proprietor of Falmouth and Dixon's inspections, Rachel Williams,
      proprietor of Royston Warehouses, Andrew Glassell, commissioner for John Glassell's estate in Spotsylvania,
      proprietor of Fred & Warehouse, and Mann Page, proprietor of Page's and Crutchfield's in Hanover County. The
      proprietors of public inspections are required to keep the warehouses in repair or give them up, but are allowed
      only 4 shillings per hogshead annually for the rent, which is by no means in proportion to the rapid rise of labour and every other article, particularly nails and provisions for the repairs. They ask further all owance.
