      In the name of God Amen, I Daniel Singleton of Orange County of Virginia being in health and of sound and perfect memory (Blessed be God) Do make and ordain this my last will and testament of form following (that is to say) my will and desire is that my Body be buries in a decent and Christ like manner at the discretion of my executors here after named and
      Secondly all such Debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my death be paid out of my estate by my Executors as to my estate both real and personal I dispose thereof as follows.
      Then I give to my son Manoah Singleton containing one hundred and ninety eight acres which we have already had in possession of since became my property.
      Then I give to my daughter Lois Looker the same tract of land that I gave to my son Edmond Singleton already been in her possession and agreed to take it for her portion of full part of my estate but know of whither add a present to her with fifteen pounds cash to be paid out of my Estate by my Executors.
      Then I give to my daughter Susannah Lancaster one feather bed, one cow, and two sheep already in possession and for the further part of my estate in lieu of giving to my first daughter Susannah Lancaster I give unto her present three youngest daughters namely Sarah, Susannah and Elizabeth fifteen pounds each to them and their heirs and assigns forever but should they or either of the above children die before they come of age or marry that my desire is that the surviving take the part allotted to the Deceased.
      Then I give to my daughter Martha Proctor one cow already in possession also five pounds cash to be paid as above.
      I give to my daughter Mary Perry twenty pounds cash to be paid as above.
      The above legacies I give and confirm unto the above children and their heirs and assigns forever and the residue of my estate proper and the money divided amongst my children here after named equally or their heirs should either one die before such division, Manoah Singleton, Edmond Singleton, Martha Proctor, Joannah Lancaster; I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Richard C. Webb and my two sons-in-law Uriah Proctor and Richard Lancaster Executors. It is my last will and hereby make null and void all and every will and testament in writing whereof I have set my hand and seal this tenth day of Nov one thousand seven hundred and ninety two.

      At a court for Orange County the 27th of October, 1794 this Last Will and Testament of Daniel Singleton, dec. was presented into Court by Richard C. Webb and Richard Lancaster, two of the Executors therein named and proved by oaths of William B. Webb and Samuel Mason two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the Executors who made oaths according to law, certificate is granted them for obtaining a
      probate thereof in due for where upon they with William C. Webb their security executed bond according to Law.
