GEORGE BRENT of the County of Stafford send greeting_ Whereas ISAAC MASON late of the County of Stafford deced & Mr, MATTHEW THOMPSON did jointiey purchase of WILLIAM BEACH late of said County deced a tract of land contajainge one thousand fourty acres in Stafford County & neare ye Southside of CHAPAWAIMISI CREEKE and Whereas said ISAAC MASON did by Deed dated ye Eighteenth day of Aprill in ye Six & thirtieth yeare of ye Reigne of or Late Sovereigne Lord KING CHARLES ye Second sell unto Capt. GEORGE BRENT & ELIZABETH his Wife all his right to ye above tract of land, Now Know yee that 1 the said Capt. GEORGE BRENT for ye natural love & affecon he bearer to ROBERT BRENT of ye County aforesaid Gent & for ye some of Tenne thousand pounds of Tobacco & Caske he the said GEORGE BRENT hath sold unto ye said ROBERT BRENT ell his right & Interest in said Land.       JOHN ALEXANDER did grant unto THOMAS BROWNE & JOHN PYMMT an hundred acres of land part of his great Pattent at POTOMAC CREEKE wch said One hundred acres of land from him to them given in fee for yor seateing & saveinge & whole divldent and is ye first hundred acres of land nett & adjoyninge to ye lands of Capta. THOMAS MATTHEW wch said land was by ye said THOMAS BROWNE & JOHN PYMMETT sold and conveyed to CHARLES HICKES and by him ye said HICKES sold to ye abovesaid ISAAC MASON and by ye said ISAAC MASON devised to his Exor to be sold for ye payment of his Debts as will appeare by his Last Will and Testament in Writeing duely proved in Stafford Court and there recorded. Now Know yee yt I the said GEORGE BRENT as Exor. aforesaid for the sume of Two thousand five hundred pounds of Tobacco & Ceske secured to be paid mee by JOHN HIGGISON of POTOMACK CREEKE in Stafford County Planter have sold unto the said JOHN HIGGISON his heires and assignes the said one hundred acres of land. Whereas Mr. ISAAC MASON late of this County deced alt ye time of his death stood seized of a certaine tract of land att or near OCOUTA in Stafford Countie whereon hee lived for terme of his owne life ye life of MARGARETT his Wife & ye life of GEORGE BRENT SENIOR as by said Lease will appeare granted by Colo GILES BRENT deced dated 1lth of July 1678 and by his Will being proved in due forme of Law gave ye said Plantation to MARGARETT his said Wife but not mentioninge to her heires & assignes is believed to bee but an Estate of Life and Whereas ye said MARGARETT married wth Mr. SAMPSON DORRELL & dyed leaveinge him possessed, butt her Estate by her death determining & yen one life upon ye Lease being still remaining (viz) that of ye said GEORGE BRENT aforesaid wch said Estate by ye Statute of ye 29th of CHARLES ye Second beinge undevised noe heire appearinge devolves to ye Exors of ye said ISAAC MASON, who is ye said GEORGE BRENT, and for as much as that DORRELL hath now ye possession of said Tenement and alsoe a Lease for Lives after ye Estate determined to ye said ISAAC MASON his Exors wch for a valuable consideration (viz) ye sume of Two thousande pounds of Tobacco paid to GEORGE BRENT Exor. aforesaid, hee ye said GEORGE BRENT bath granted unto ye sd SAMPSON DORRELL his heires for ever and dureinge ye life of him ye said GEORGE BRENT Wittness this 11th day of September 1692 Wittness ANDREW GRIFFIN, GEORGE BRENT
