      From Lancaster County, Va -Rodham Lunsford m Lettice Carter, widow.Bond Feb 26 1774. Henry Carter put up security. I believe Henry Carter was a brother to her husband Joseph Carter.

      STAFFORD COUNTY VA WILL BOOK M; 1729-1748; THE ANTIENT PRESS PP. 261-262 In Name of God Amen I ANTHONY LYNTON being sick but of perfect memory .. do make this my last will and Testament. First I recommend my Soule to God .. Body to the Earth.
      First my will is that all my just debts be paid and creditors satisfied. Secondly I give to MARY my Loving Wife all my Estate Reaill and personall to be by her quietly Injoyed till my son JOHN LYNTON shall cum to the age of Twenty one years and my will is that if my wife should marry within the said term that then my son John when he arrives to the age afsd shall have all and Singular my Estate Reall and personal to him and his heirs. But provided my wife shuld live my widdow til my said son John shall come to the age of Twenty one as aforsd then my will is my said son John shall only have my negro boy named James one feather bed and furniture one good Iron pot and one good Frying pan, Two pewter Basins, two pewter dishes, 6 pewter Plaits and my will is that all the rest of my personal Estate be divided between my Loving wife Mary dureing her widohod as afsd and my daughter LETTIS to them and their heirs.
      Item my will is that if my crop and outstanding debts will not comply with my creditors that then my Executors shall sell my Smiths Tools to that end and if that will not comply then my said Exes may dispose of all my Personal Estate till my debts should be Satisfyed and paid.
      Item I do appoint my Loving Wife MARY Executrix and WILLIAM REMY Executor of this my last Will .. this 14th day of November 1738. Presence George Waller,
