      TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come I JOHN LACY of County of Rappa send Greeting. Know yee yt. I the sd JOHN LACY for divers good considerations and the sum of One thousand Six hundred pounds of good sweet sented Tobacco and caske have sold unto WILLIAM JEFFERYES of the same County his heirs all that parcell of land by estimation One hundred acres of land being in Rappa. County on the South side of Rappa. River and lying on North West side a branch containing in the sd One hundred acres of land an old feild formerly made by JOHN STANFORD late deced of this County, the sd branch being the So:So: East bounds of his One hundred acres of land as formerly granted to the sd JOHN STANFORD [Sanford] To have and to hold the sd land and premises with rights of hunting waters mills houses and other buildings with all profitts to him sd WILLIAM JEFFERYES his heirs and assigns forever paying yearly unto our Dred Sovereigne Lord ye King all such rents and services as shall become due In Witness whereof JOHN LACY have sett his land and Seal this Z9th day of November 1689 and in the first yeare of the Reigne of their Majesties &c.

      KNOW ALL MEN that wee ARTHR: HODGES, ANNE HODGES, SAML. COATES & JNO. BRAISER of the County of Essex are firmely bound unto JNO. CATLETT Gent., President of the sd County Court in the sume of One hundred pounds Sterl, to the true payment thereof we bind ourselves this 11th day of March 1700
      The Condicon of this obligacon is that if the above bound ARTHR: HODGES & ANNE HODGES, Administrs. of WM. JEFFEREIES deced doe make a perfect Inventory of all the goods rights & credits of the said deced & do exhibit the same to the next Court that shall be held & make Oath thereto & truely admr. on the Estate according to Law and give a just Accot. Then this obligacon to be void, otherwise to stand in full force
