      Montgomery County Land Records, 1777-1781; Liber A1, Page 4. Agreement, recorded at the request of William Collier. Articles of agreement, made and concluded and full agreed on this Dec 7, 1776, between Abraham Sansberry of Calvert County, and William Collier of M, witnesses that sd Sansberry has sold to sd Collier, all his right to everything that was upon a plantation the beginning of Nov last where Jonathan Allison now lives as overseer, in M (only 1 bed and furniture, 1 servant woman named Mary Ryon, a tea kettle, the wool and some leather) for 130 to be paid by sd William Collier to sd Sansberry. But in case sd Wm. Collier should have trouble in getting of the effects (on sd plantation) into his possession and have a lawsuit about the same and not recover sd purchase, then sd Sansberry shall pay the lawful cost and not be entitled to the above purchase money. For the true performance of the above agreement, we bind ourselves, each to the other in the sum of 200 . Signed - Abraham Sansbury, William Collyar. Wit - Joseph Gill, Thomas Sansbury.
