      Indenture March 21, 1798; Philip Barton Key of Anne Arundel County, Maryland and Ann Key his wife in consideration of 35 pounds current money paid by Joshua Mudd have assigned all their undivided 1/10th part of a tract of land called "Strife" lying on the south side of the main branch of Mattawoman Swamp and containing 100 acres. Signed Philip Barton Key, Ann Key in the presence of Jeremiah Townley Chase
