      April 13, 1769. Gregory Baylor and George Brooke, acting executors of last will and testament of Robert Baylor, late of King and Queen Co., Gent., Decd., to Benjamin Tompkins of. Caroline Co. Whereas, sd. Robt. Baylor was in his lifetime and at his death seized in fee simple of 2 tracts of land in Spts. Co. (which descended to him from his brother, Richard Baylor, Decd.) and being so seized In and by his last will and testament among other things did direct the sd. land to be sold and of his said will appointed his wife, Molly Baylor (who renounced the executorship and all benefit of sd. will), Gregory Baylor and George Brooke, Executors; and whereas, by a decree of the County Court of King and Queen, made July 8, 1765, in a suit in Chancery there depending between Frances Baylor, Molly Baylor, Elizabeth Baylor, Hannah Baylor and Ann Baylor, younger children of sd. Robert Baylor, Decd., Pltfs., and John Baylor, son and heir, and Gregory Baylor and George Brooke, Execrs. of sd. Robt. Baylor, Decd., Defds., it was among other things decreed and ordered that the sd. Executors should sell the sd. lands and apply the money arising therefrom towards paying the sd. Robt. Baylor, Decd., debts, etc. Witnesseth, sd. Baylor and Brooke, as Executors, for sum of 204 curr. convey to sd. Tompkins 1019 a. in Spts. Co., etc. Witnesses, Richard Stevens, Josiah Samuel, Robt. Dudley, Isaac Graves. June 5, 1769.
