Indenture made August 25, 1778; George Davis, planter of Charles County, Maryland and Naylor Davis, planter of PGCo of one part and Nicholas Davis, planter of PGCo of the other part. Whereas David Davis, of Charles County, Maryland father to the aforesaid parties, did by his last will and testament bearing date March 3, 1776 did devise to his children Nicholas Davis, Sarah Davis, David Davis, George Davis, Elijah Davis, Ann Naylor Davis, Elizabeth Christian Davis and Christian Turner Davis all his lands to be equally divided. And after his decease Nicholas Davis has purchased the rights and parts of his sisters, Ann Naylor Davis and Christian Turner Davis; and Naylor Davis has purchased the rights and parts of Sarah Davis, Elisha Davis and Elizabeth Christian Davis and it has been agreed and settled between the parties that Nicholas Davis shall have his lands contained within the limits courses and distances following; beginning at a bounded stone in the 5th line of the original tract of the "Forrest" and bounded by Isaac Asils and George Davis land. indenture made August 12, 1770; between Christian Turner Davis, Hezekiah Padgett, and Ann Naylor Padgett his wife, planters of PGCo of one part and Nicholas Davis, planter of PGCo of the other part. Witnessed that Christian Turner Davis in consideration of 40 pounds current money and has the Hezekiah Padgett and Ann Naylor Padgett his wife in consideration of 40 pounds current money paid by Nicholas Davis have sold will all their right to a tract called "Long Lookd For" containing 30 acres and lying in Charles County, Maryland and tracts lying in PGCo called "Cool Springs containing 90 acres; the "Forrest" containing 244 acres which were heretofore on July 16, 1720 sold by William Miskell and Ann Miskell his wife to Nicholas Davis being the same lands devised by David Davis, Sr., to his children to be equally divided.
