BROCAS beinge of p:fect memory & wthout fraude & deceipt for good causes & consideracons me hearunto moveinge have given granted & confirmed & doe by these p:sents give grant confirme unto my much hod friend, Sir HEN: CHICHELEY, of ye same place, Knt., for ye sole use & behoofe of ELNOR, my Wife, hir heirs Executrs, Admistrs. & assignes & all & singular my goods chattles Implemts. boats bills bonds specialtyes necessaryes houshold stuff plate both English servants, Negroes, cattle & all other things wt:soever as well menable and unmenable of what nature kinde & quallity so ever they be & in whose hands Custody possession or beinge or in wt:soever place or places they be or maye be found as well wthin wt:soever place or places they be or maye be found as well wthin ye Continent of Virginia or else where To have & to hold & receave all & singular ye sd goods chattles Implemts. credits, debts Bills bonds specialtyes houshold stuff plate both English Servants & Negroes Male & female & all to other & all other ye pr:misses wth: all & singular their appurtenances unto ye sd Sr. HENRY CHICHELEY unto ye only use & behoofe of my sd Wife ELNOR BROCAS her heirs Executrs. BROCAS or any person or persons in ye means it be or poure or in any maner or any person or persons by my means title or poure or in any maner of Acts all my debts yt: shall apeare due together by Bill or under my owne hand to any p:son or p:sons to be satisfyed & pd. as equally to one as another & acordinge to ye quallitye of ye debts; And if in case ELNOR my sd Wife shall survive me ye sd Captt.. WM.BROCAS, yt! then ye sd Sir HEN: CHICHELEY shall imediately after my decease deliver all my sd Estate, Cattle, Servants or wtsoever else of my sd Estate before mentioned acordinge to ye Schedule wth: all ye implements of my said Estate wth: out any waste unto ELNOR my sd Wife her heirs Executrs. Adminstrs: or assignes as aforesd. unless my sd Wife in her owne discretion shall thinke it requisite yt. ye sd Estate shall remaine a longer time in ye Custodye & possession of ye sd Sir HENRY CHICHELEY & in case ye sd Capt. WM. BROCAS shall sirvive my sd Wife yt. then ye sd Sir HEN: CHICHELEY shall returne all ye sd Estate wthout ye improvmt. unto me ye sd Capt. WM. BROCAS my heirs Executrs. Six Negroe men, foure Negroe women & foure Negro Children, one Horse & a Mare, Six coves & two yeare old heifer, foure yearlings heifers, foure Oxen to be broke, sixteen sheepe, seaven fetherbeds, 4: of them wth feather & farniture; one large Court Cubbard wth: drawers, one large round table, one other lesser Court Cubboard, foure iron potts, three iron kettles, three smaller kettles, one skillot, a parcell of pewter containinge between 20 & 30 lbs., one silver Tanker, one small silver Salte, one small silver gelt salt, one small trunke cabinett, one other cabinett of drawers, a p:cell of old stooles chaires, two carpets, seaven guns, two small tables, two chests, three trunkes, sume other small necessaryes as hoes & axes,
