JOHN DAVENPORT of the County of LANCASTER wth the Consent of MARGARET his Wife for and in consideracon of the sum of Five thousand five hundred of good tobacco and caske to the sd DAVENPORT in Bills passed by RICHD. BARBER of ye same Place Planter have bargained sold & confirmed unto ye aforesd RICHD. BARBER his heires for ever the one half or moiety of five hundred & eighty acres of land lying and being on ye South side of Rappa. Countie about three miles from ye River beginning at a marked Poplar standing nere a Run of OCCUPACY CREEKE being a corner tree of CORNELIUS NOELL & VALL: ALLINs land & running thence S. E. 50 pches crossing ye Run thence West 500 pches to a white Oake in ALLINs line thence S. 160 pches to a red Oake neare a hucckleberry branch thence East 5S6 pches to a Pocikory standing a little to the Eastwarde of CHICKOHOMINY PATH whence by or nigh ye said PATH towards PORTOBAGOE No. by West one hundred pches whence North 1 hundred pches to OCCUPACY CREEKE & lastly West Northerly 70 pches up the branch to the first mentioned tree contg. ye abovesaid Quantity To Have and To Hold ye one half or moyety of ye abovesd 580 acres of land with all its rights & pvellidges from him the sd DAVENPORT his heires or assignes to him ye sd BARBER his heires forever more the said BARBER hence forth yeilding paying & dischargeing ye Rights Rents & services hereof to become or grow due & of right accustomed In Wittness whereof ye sd JNO.
