      KIRK, ELIZABETH, 19 April, 1676; 2 January, 1677.
      IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Elizabeth Kirk Sick in body but in good and perfect memory Blessed be God doe now appoint Constitute and ordain this my Last Will and Testamt: First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of the Almighty God the Father Everlasting and my body to be buried At the Disposing of my Friends and my Worldly Estate in manr: and Forme Following Imprh; : For my Land I give with what housing is Upon it to my Sonn John Kirk his heires for Ever And the Rent I give to my Two Daughters Mary and Elizabeth that is to say the Rent of my Land till such time as my Son John shall Attaine to the Yeares of Eighteen, then the Land to Come into the hands of my Son as abovesaid and I give my Wearing Cloathes with my Stock being two Cows and one Sow to my Daughters as above mentioned with their Increase, And for my Sonn I Freely Give him to the Tuition of my Wellbeloved friend Henry Lucas till such time as he shall Attaine to the Age of Eighteen Yeares And Further I doe Intrust the said Henry Lucas to Receive the Rent of the abovesaid Land and to keep it in his hands till such Time as my Boy ataine to the Yeares abovementioned and then to be Accountable for the same IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto Sett my Hand and Seale this 19th: Aprill Anno qr:dom 1676

      KNOW ALL MEN by these pntes that I THOMAS KIRKE of Sittingbourne Pish of the County of Rappa. doe for me my heires for a Vallueable consideracon to me in hand paid before ensealing and delivery hereof sell assigne and sett over unto JOHN SPEED his heires for ever the one halfe parte of that parcell of land that I bought of JAMES COGHILL & then to be divided he the sd JOHN SPEED to have that part on the side of the Swampe JAMES COGHILL lives on & I THO: KIRKE to have as much on the i other side of the Swampe joyning that I have already Cleared and the remaining part is to be equally parted between us I the sd THOMAS KIRKE doe warrt. the sale of the sd Land unto JNO SPEED aforesd peaceably and quietly to enjoy the same in the pformance hereof I doe hereunto sett my hand and seale this 29th of July 166(not showing)
