      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen. I BARTHOL: DAMERON being in perfect memory thanks be to God doe make & ordaine my Last Will & Testamt, in manner & forme following, I bequeath my Soule to God my Creator who gave it and my body to the Earth in Christian buriall:
      I give and bequeath unto my two Sons. BARTHOL: & JNO. DAMERON, the Plantacon I now live on & all my Land from the head of ye NECK downewards to a line of marked trees which runs down the Back Creek Field from a part of the BACK CREEK to the Pond which belongs to the Gutt knowne to be called which land my Father LAURENCE DAMERON. bought of Mr. PETER KNIGHT, as by Pattent appeares, my abovesd, Sons to have equal! right & priviledges in the said Land them & their heires for ever: But if it should please God my Son, BARTHOLO: should die without male heires, then wholy to be my Son, JOHN, & his heires for ever: after the death of his Mother:
      I give & bequeath unto my Son, CHRISTOPHER DAMERON, the Remainder of my Land in this Neck. (vizt.) the Old Plantacon upwards to the line of marked trees abovemenconed to him and his heires for ever;
      I give & bequeath unto my Son. LAURENCE DAMERON the one halfe of a Devident of Land in MATTAPONY which my Father bought of Mr. THOMAS BROUGHTON by Pattent Three hundred and forty two acres to him the said LAURENCE the Plantacon which he now lives on & up the Neck for his part to him & his heires for ever;
      Item. I give & bequeath unto my Sone, JOSIAH DAMERON, the remaining part of my land in MATTAPONY (vizt,) from his Brother, LAURENCE's, up to the Neck to the extent thereof to him & his heires for ever and to have priviledge for pasture with his Brother for seven yeares.
      I gyve and bequeath unto my Son. BARTHOLO:, one feather bed rugg & bolster, three cowes. two breeding sowes, one cupboard, one chest, one couch, one iron pott & a large Bible these to be delivered at the death of his Mother:
      I give & bequeath unto my Son, LAURENCE, one cow & calfe besides what I have already given him or him carryed to his Plantacon;
      I give & bequeath unto my Son, CHRISTR, one feather bed bolster & rugg, one ball'd face Horse with the Stock of Cattle hoggs which is knowne I have already given him with their future encrease, one chest & one gun, all which he has in his possession;
      I give unto my Son, JOSIAH, one feather bed rugg & bolster, three cowes & calves, two Steers of five yeares age, one Mare with her future encrease, two sowes & one gun;
      I give & bequeath unto my Son: JOHN, one feather bed rugg, bolster, four cowes, one steer of five yeares old, three leather chaires, one low bedsteed which stands in my room one long table. two breeding sowes, one chest which stands in the MILKHOUSE to be delivered att the death of his Mother & two thousand pounds of tobacco when he comes of the age of one & twenty payable to him from his Brother, CHRISTOPHER:
      I give & bequeath unto my Daughter, SARAH, one Cow & calfe & one large iron dripping pan:
      I give & bequeath unto my Daughter, ELIZA:, one Cow & calfe & four ewes;
      I give & bequeath unto my Daughter, MARY, one feather bed, rugg and bolster, three cowes, one Silver tankard, one Silver tumbler, one chest with drawers, one wainscoat chest. one small table which stands in my roome, three leather chaires & one young Mare which her Brother, LAURENCE, broght from CONE, My Will is that if it should please God my Sone, JOHN, should die before he attaines to the age of one & twenty or he marryed or my Daughter, MARY, die before shee be marryed, that then the Legacies of ye deced (land excepted) shall be devided amongst all the Survivors, (vizt.) BARTHOLO:, CHRISTOPHER & JOSIAH DAMERON, I give & bequeath unto my loveing Wife, ELIZA:, my Debts & Legacies being paid the remainder of my Estate makeing her my full & whole Exerx, appointing my well beloved Brother, THOMAS DAMERON, to have the oversight of this my Will & to see it performed which I acknowledge to be my Last Will &. Testamt.
      In Witness whereunto I have sett my hand & affixed my seale, My Will and desire concerneing my Land is for that if either of my Sons, LAURENCE or JOSIAH DAMERON, should die without lawful! issue male, that their part of Land to fall to the Survivor, & his lawfull issue male. If either of my Sons, BARTHOLO: or CHRISTOPH: or JOHN DAMERON should die without lawful! issue male, that their part of land shall fall to the survivors & their lawfull issue as aforesd, In Witness whereof I hereunto sett my hand & affixe my seale this 9th day of Augt.       Son. Joseph Dameron-land I now live on which my father Bartho. Dameron gave me, to him and the male heirs on his body lawfully begotten, and for want of such male heirs to my son, Thomas Dameron and the male heir as aforesaid, and for want of such heir male to my son. John Dameron and the male heir of his body but if it should happen that neither of my three sons Joseph, Thomas, and John Dameron, have any heir male, then in that case my son Joseph. Dameron's female heirs to enjoy the said land in same manner as the male heir, and for want of such female to descend to the next female in the same manner as the male heir,
      Son Thomas Dameron-negro woman Hannah.
      Son Bartholomew Dameron-three thousand pounds of tobacco to be paid by my son Joseph Dameron.
      All my negroes and personal estate to be equally divided between.
      If Elizabeth Dameron and four sons Joseph, John, Thomas,and Bartholomew Dameron, to be delivered to them when they shall attain the age of eighteen

LAURENCE DAMERON, deced.. bought of Captn. PETER KNIGHT, being in the Parish & County aforesd & on ye South side of GREAT WICCOCOMOCO RIVER which is a Neck by Pattent
      five hundred acres part land part Marsh, the courses agreed on to divide the land I still hold from the Land of my Uncle. BARTHOLOMEW DAMERON. & the Land sold to him being as follow eth (vizt.) Beginning at ye side of ye LITTLE MARSH from thence along a line of marked trees near ye head of the Butt, a place knowne by that name, from thence through a small skirt of Woods to the side of an Old Feild & through this Old Feild to marked Locust Posts to the head of the Land: To have & to hold the aforesd.
