      THIS INDENTURE made this Eighth day of April 1717 Between JOHN GEFFRYS of Parish of Northfarnham in County of Richmond, Planter, of one part and THOMAS BRYANT the Younger of sd; Parish & County, Planter, and MARGARET his Wife of the other part: Wittnesset.h that JOHN GEFFRYS and the said MARGARET BRYANT, the Wife of sd: THOMAS BRYANT, and Sister of the sd. JOHN GEFFRYS are and do now stand seized in their Demesne as of fee in Jointenancy and undivided of and in five hundred acres of Land scituate in the Parish and County aforesd:, it is now (to the end that a perpetuall Partition and Division shall be made between the sd: parties in relation to the sd: land and premises) covenanted and agreed in manner following; And first the sd JOHN GEFFRYS for himselfe his heirs doth covenant. and agree that the sd: MARGARET BRYANT her heires shall from henceforth hold in severalty to her and her beires the moiety or half part of the said Five hundred acres of land being divided and laid out by their Friends and Acquaintances, ROBERT PALMER and WILLIAM HANCKS, the Dividing Line being as followeth; Beginning at the head of a small Branch issuing out of FARNHAM CREEK at a Spanish Oak, Easterly course to a line of WILLIAM HANCKS to a Hickory and that the said THOMAS BRYANT & the said MARGARET for themselves their heires do agree that JOHN GEFFRYS his heires shall from henceforth hold to him his awes the other moiety of sd: five hundrd acres on the other side of the Dividing Line being in the tenure and occupation of his Mother, ELIZABETH GEFFRYS, And the said parties do bind themselves not to disturb each other in their moieties according to the intent and meaning of these presents; In Wittiness whereof the parties to these presents interchangeably have sett their hands and seales the day and year first above written
