      THIS INDENTURE made the Eighteenth day of February in the fourth year of the Reign of our Soveraigne Lord George the Second of Great Brittaine and Scotland, King, Defender of the faith &c., And in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty Between BRIANT ABANION of the Parish of Hanover in KING GEORGE County within the Dominion of Virginia of one part and WILLIAM DUFF of the Parish and County aforesaid of the other part; Wittnesseth that BRIANT ABANION in consideration of the sum of five shillings of good and lawfull money of Ingland to him in hand paid by WILLIAM DUFF the receipt whereof BRIANT ABANION doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto WILLIAM DUFF all that tract of land whereon BRIANT ABANION formerly lived and Inhabett, together also with One hundred acres of land to the same belonging, sittuate in Washington Parish in County of Westmorland and being part of a Pattent of fourteen hundred sixty and four acres of land formerly granted to ROBERT ALLEXANDER, JOHN ALLEXANDER and CHRISTOPHER LINN by Sir WILLIAM BERKLEY, Knight, late Governor of Virginia, and lying on South side of ROAZIERS DAM, and joyning upon the Land of WILLIAM MADDERS and upon the Land of said WILLIAM DUFF, partie to these presents; and being the lowermost hundred acres of land together also with all houses orchards and comodities to the land and premises belonging: To have and to hould the tract plantation of land herby intended to bee could unto WILLIAM DUFF his heirs during the term of one whole year, paying therefore the Rent of one Pepper Corn on the Feast Day of St. Michael! the Archangel' next ensueing the date hereof if lawfully demanded to the intent that by vertue of these presents and of the Statute for transfering uses into possession, WILLIAM DUFF may bee in the actual! and sole possession of the premises and bee thereby the better enabled to take a Release or any other conveyance of the freehold and inheritance to him and his heirs, In Wittness whereof the parties aforesaid have to these presents sett their hands and wales the day month and year first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the Sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty two Between WILLIAM DUFF of Hannover Parrish in County of KING GEORGE, Planter, of one part and JOHN WILLIS of the same Parrish & County, Planter, of the other part; Wittnesseth that JOHN WILLIS in consideration of the summe of five shillings Sterling to him in hand paid by WILLIAM DUFF, the receipt whereof JOHN WILLIS doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents cloth bargain and sell unto WILLIAM DUFF all that tract plantation of land where STEPHEN SEBASTIN, deceased, formerly lived as Tennant to CHARLES WILLIS, deceased, by estimation seaventy eight acres of land be the same more or less scituate in County of Westmoreland joyning upon the Land of WILLIAM DUFF and upon the Land late belonging to JOSHUA DAVIS near ROZIERS DAMM, being all the Land JOHN WILLIS hath or layeth any manner of claime unto in a Pattent for a tract of Land granted to ROBERT and JOHN ALEXANDER and CHRISTOPHER LUND by Sr. WILLIAM BERKLEY, Knt., late Governor of Virginia, of fourteen hundred twenty eight acres; To have and to hold the land and premises unto WILLIAM DUFF his heirs dureing the terme of one whole year paying therefore the Rent of one Ear of Indian Corne on the Birth Day of our Lord God next ensueing if lawfully demanded to the intent that by vertue of these presents and by virtue of the Statute for transferring uses into possession WILLIAM DUFF may be in the actual possession of the premises and be thereby enabled to take a Release of the inheritance thereof to him and his heirs; In Wittness whereof JOHN WILLIS have hereunto sett his hand and seale the day month and year first above written

      July 16, 1734 rec. of Joseph Minter 42 lbs., 11 shillings and 8 pence half penny.
      At court July 17, 1734 William Duff acknowledged this release with receipt endorsed as also a bond for performance of covenants.
      Pages 291. William Duff of King George am held and firmly bound unto Joseph Minter of Spots. Co. in sum of 200 lbs. curr. money July 16, 1734. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bounden William Duff hath sold unto Joseph Minter 213 a. on south run of Broad Run and whereas Elizabeth the wife of William not careing to go to court to acknowledge her right of Dower to said Joseph Mintor and if so be that she shall after the decease of William Duff disturb the said. Joseph Minter or any other person or persons then holding the land, then this obligation to be void and of non effect otherwise to remain in full force power and virtue.
      At court July 17, 1.754 William Duff acknowledged this bond to Joseph Minter.

      HIS INDENTURE made the twenty fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred thirty seaven, Between WILLIAM DUFF of Hanover Parish in County of KING GEORGE of one part and EDWARD JONES of Washington Parish in County of Westmorland, Bricklayer, of other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM DUFF in consideration of the yearly rent of six hundred and thirty pounds of tobacco and the quitt rents of One hundred acres of land to be paid unto him yearly on or before the twenty fifth day of December if demanded, hath and by these presents cloth demise and to farm lett unto EDWARD JONES his heirs during the natural lives of said EDWARD JONES HANNAH his now Wife and JOHN JONES his Son, and to the longest liver of them one tract of land scituate in Washington Parish in County of Westmorland bounded; Begining at a marked Hiccory at the parting of the land whereon PATRICK MATTHEWS lately lived near the FERRY ROAD. and thence along the FERRY ROAD to another Hiccory on the Road side and from thence athwart the Corn Field to the head of a Valley to a black Oak marked and from thence down the Branch to the Damm and up the Damm to the third Branch to a black Oak saplin and from thence by a line of marked trees up to the RIDGE ROAD to a black Oak marked saplin and down the RIDGE ROAD to the Corn Field fence which is near a Tobacco House and from thence athwart to an Orchard which is to be his and from thence to the begining; To have and to hold unto EDWARD JONES his heirs without any hindrance of WILLIAM DUFF his heirs In Witness whereof both parties have hereunto interchangeably sett their hands and seales the day and year first above mentioned

      THIS INDENTURE made the Fifteenth and Sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty One Between TULLY CHOICE & ANN his Wife of the County of LOUISA of one part and WILLIAM GREEN & ROBERT GREEN of the County of CULPEPER of other part Witnesseth that said TULLY CHOICE & ANN his Wife for the sum of Twenty pounds Current money of Virginia have sold unto the said WILLIAM GREEN and ROBERT GREEN (in their actual possession by virtue of an Indenture of Bargain and Sale for one year and by force of the Statute for transferring uses into possession ) and their heirs one certain parcel of land lying on TIN POT RUN in the County of Prince William containing about Three hundred & Fifty Eight acres of land it being the Remainder of a larger tract of land containing by Deed from the PROPRIETORS OFFICE granted to WM. DUFF deced for Five hundred and Fifty eight acres the said Deed bearing date the 25th day of May 1727; Two hundred part of the said Five hundred & Fifty eight acres was bequeathed by the last Will and Testament of the said WM. DUFF deced to ANN SHOTWELL Wife of JOHN SHOTWELL & the remainder to the aforesaid ANN Wife of the said TULLY CHOICE the said land not being as yet divided between the said TULLY CHOICE & JOHN SHOTWELL and all houses & appurtenances whatsoever belonging unto the said WILLIAM GREENE & ROBERT GREEN their heirs and assigns forever, In Witness whereof TULLY CHOICE & ANN his Wife hash set their hands and seals
