      Apr 6, 1730 from Thomas Sympson Jr of CC, planter, to John Williams, Thomas Williams, James Williams, Daniel Short, and his wife, Catherine, Justinian Williams, William Williams, Gilbertus Simpson and his wife Elizabeth, heirs of James Williams, late of CC, decd, for 5 shillings sterling money of Great Britain, a certain tract of land, being part of a tract of land called St Thomas', lying in CC on the west side Piles Fresh, containing and now laid out for about 150 acres. Signed - Thos: Simpson Jr. This deed was acknowledged by Thomas Simpson and Sarah, his wife. Wit - Jno Howard*, Benja Fendall*.

      Apr 6, 1730 from John Williams (late of CC but now) of St Mary's County, planter, Daniel Short of CC, planter, and Katherine, his wife, and James Williams of CC, planter, to George Hatton of CC, merchant, for 4000 lbs of tobacco, a certain tract of land, being part of a tract of land called St Thomas', lying in CC, which parcel of land hereby sold contains about 70 acres. Signed - Jno (M his mark) Williams, Daniel (0 his mark) Short, Katherine () her mark) Short, James (1 his mark) Williams. Wit - Jno Howard*, Benja Fendall*. This deed was acknowledged by John Williams, Daniel Short and Katherine, his wife, and James Williams and Elizabeth, his wife. Sd Catherine Short and Easter Williams [sic], the wife of James Williams freely acknowledged their right to sd land.
