      THIS INDENTURE made the twenty fifth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty, Between THOMAS ALLISON of the Parish of Cople in Westmoreland County, Planter, of one part and THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR, (Son of the aforesaid THOMAS ALLISON) of the Parish and County aforesaid of other part: Witnesseth that THOMAS ALLISON in consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds Sterling to him in hand paid, the receipt thereof he doth hereby acknowledge. path and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR. and his heirs all that messuage of land containing One hundred acres being one moiety or half part of Two hundred acres scituate in Parish and County aforesaid, which was purchased by THOMAS ALLISON of WILLIAM ROUT and ANN his Wife as by Deed of Sale hereof made bearing date the fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty two may more fully appear; To have and to hold the One hundred acres of land with all monuments and appurtenances to the same belonging to THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR. and his heirs; And THOMAS ALLISON shall at all times the land and premises unto THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR. and his heirs warrant and forever defend by these presents against every person claiming under him; In Witness the parties for these presents have interchangably set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

      Memorandum; That this 26th day of August Anna Domini 1740 peaceable and seizin of the lands and premises in the within Deed contained was delivered by THOMAS ALLISON to THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR.. Son of the aforesaid THOMAS ALLISON, according to the form and effect of this Deed in the presence of DAVID CURRIE, DANIEL JENINGS, JOHN LEE
      Westmoreland ss. At a Court held for the said County the 26th of August 1740
      THOMAS ALLISON personally acknowledged this Deed of Bargain and Sale of Land by him passed sold and conveyed to his Son, THOMAS ALLISON, JUNR., to be his proper act and deed with the livery of seizen thereon endorsed, which at the instance of the said
