      THIS INDENTURE made the Eleaventh day of November 1657 Between JOHN SMITH of the County of Middlesex of one parte and JOHN LUCUS Sonn of JEAN LUCUS of the other parte Witnesseth that the said John Lucus by and wth, the consent and at the earnest desire of the said Jane Lucus bath put himselfe an Apprentice to the said John Smith wth him duely truely and faithfully to serve untill he the said Apprentice shall have attained and full Accomplished the age of one and twenty years and dureingthat time shall and will obediently and faithfully obey and performe all his said Masters lawfull Comands and his Secrets to keep and that bee shall not absent himselfe from his Masters Service nor out of his Plantation wthout his lawful! leave first obteyned nor committing any other unlawful! thing, not fitt or lawful' to be done by such an Apprentice And the said John Smith doth covenant and promise to learne the said John Lucas to reade and write English and to find him wth.       WHEREAS by an Act of Assembley at JAMES CITTY the 16th of April 1691 it is enacted yt: Fifty acres of land on the West side of Nimcock Creek for the Building of a Town and which was the land of RALPH WORMELEY Esqr, appoynted for a Port & Whereas we MATHEW KEMP, CHRISTOPHER ROBINSON dt. WILLIAM CHURCHHILL by Order of the Middlesex County Court dated the 20th of July 1691 are appoynted Feoffees in Trust did demand of the Honble Ralph Wormeley Esqr. conveyance of a good estate in fee and the said Ralph Wormeley Esqr. did refuse to make such a conveyance being proved in the Middx. County Court the 7th of Septembr: 1691 whereby the said Ralph Wormeley Esqr. hath forfitted all his Right Know All Men that we Mathew Kemp, Christopher Robinson and Will. Churchhill Feoffees in Trust for the sume of one hundred pounds of good Tobacco and Casque have granted unto Capt. WILLIAM DANIELL & Mr. WILLIAM DANIELL JUNR, one half acre of land bounded Begining at a Corner Stake of JOHN HEADS loft on ye Maine Street called FFERRY STREET & runing by said Street North West thence South to ye beginning place To Hold and without delay proceed to finish on ye said halfe acre of land one good house to containe Twenty foot square as Witness this 13th day of Febey 1691/2
