      At The Request of Brock Mockbee and wife the Following Deed was Recorded October the 30th day 1765 to wit This Indenture made the Thirtieth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Sixty five Between Richard Watts of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one Part and Brock Mockbee and Margaret his wife of the Same County and Province of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said Richard Watts for and in Consideration of the sum of Ten Pounds Lawfull money of Great Brittain to him in hand already Paid by the said Brock Mockbee the receipt whereof he doth here by Acknowledge and also for and in consideration of The Natural Love and Affection which he hath and Doth Bear unto the said Brock and Margarett His Wife and for Divers other good Causes and Considerations him there unto Moving Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Confirmed and made Over and by these Presents he the said Richard Watts Doth Give Grant Bargain sell Alien Enfeoff confirm and make over unto them the said Brock Mockee and Margaret His wife and the male heir of the Body of the said Margarett Lawfully Begotten for Ever all That Part of a Tract or Parcel of Land Called Clean Shaveing Beginning at the End of the Fifth Lind of the Resurvey on the Addition to Susanna and Elizabeth now called clean Shaveing (see Deed for land description) containing and Now Laid out for One Hundred and Fifty Eight Acres of Land be the Same more or Less together with all and Singular the Improvements Convenience and Advantages therein or thereunto any wise Appertaining or Belonging To have and to hold the Land and Premises aforesaid unto Them the said Brock Mockbee Margaret his wife and the Male Issue of the said Margaret his Wife Lawfully Begotten as aforesaid for Ever to the only Proper use and Behoof of them the said Brock Mockbee Margaret his wife and her Lawfull male Issue as aforesaid and to No other use intended or Purpose What soever In Witness Whereof the said Richard Watts hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year above Written

      On 11 November 1711, Stephen Warman beseeches the Orphans Court to mandate that John Hardin (2nd husband of Mgt (Purdy) Watts) bring the orphans of the late Francis Watts to the courthouse “in order to be bound out as the said court shall then order.” The children are brought to the court and Francis Watts requests that Francis Warman be his guardian and Richard Watts is bound to John Watkins until the age of 21 years

      75 acres by virtue of warrant in 1749 “Peach Tree Hill”, lying by a bounded white oak with oak standing on the mouth of the Stony Branch on the north side of the Middle Seneca. [This tract of land now lies in Montgomery county.]

      The Court appoints Richard Watts Constable of Sugar Loaf Hundred "in the room of William Cecil."

      Richard Watts, charged with two counts of breach of peace, is found guilty of submission (he pleads guilty) and in each case is fined one shilling.

      The Grand Jury made the presentment:
      Richard Watts "as constable for assaulting and beating James Worfford, Jr. with a club."

      We the grand jurors present Richard Watts and James Trale for philanesly (feloneously) stealing and carrying away by force of arms one twenty shilling bill and 3 fifteen shilling bills the property of Ninian Beall of Prince George's County and by the information of the said Beall.

      The Lord Proprietary vs. Richard Watts (Laborer) and James Trail (Planter)
      They were charged with stealing money "with force of arms" from Edward Trafford but were later acquitted by the jury.
      That same year Richard Watts was brought to court by John Wafford Jr. and James Wafford for beating them with a club.
      Richard Watts was that same year selected as "Constable" for Sugarloaf Hundred.
      Richard Watts was married in 1731 to Susannah Northcraft.
      He also witnessed the will of Charles Trail in 1763.

      On March 20, 1754, Richard Watts, planter of Frederick Co. made a note with Robert Dunlop and Thomas Dunlop, merchants. Isaac Brooke and B. Young witnessed the note. The note was to be repaid on May 1, 1754. Watts failed to pay and a complaint was filed on December 2, 1756.
