Indenture made July 22, 1771; Waitstill Singleton Church in consideration of 23 pounds currency paid by John Francis has sold ½ acre lying in the Town of Bladensburg beginning at a stone it being the southeast corner of the first lot and beginning of the second lot laid out in the said town. Signed Waitstill Singleton Church in the presence of and acknowledged before Joshua Beall, Christopher Lowndes and at the same time Sarah Church w/o Waitstill Singleton Church relinquished her right of dower
