Charles County Land Records 1775-1782; Liber V#3; Page 138, Oct 12, 1776 trom Elijah Davis of Prince George's County, planter, David Davis and Joseph Lovejoy of Frederick County, planters, and Sarah Lovejoy, wife of the sd Joseph, to Nailor Davis of CC, planter_ Sd Elijah Davis, far 34 £, sd David Davis, for 34 £, and sd Joseph Lovejoy and Sarah, his wife, for 34 £, to them respectively paid by sd Nailor Davis, they sell to Nailor Davis (by virtue of an Act of Assembly of Maryland entitled "an Act concerning estates tail & the jurisdiction of the County Courts"), all their right to all that tract of land called Long Looked For, lying in CC, and containing about 30 acres. Also, all their right to a tract of land in Prince George's County called Cool Springs Tract, containing about 90 acres. Also, all their right to part of a tract of land called the Forrest, containing about 244 acres, lying formerly in Prince George's County, which was, on or about Jul 16, 1720, sold by William Miskell and Ann, his wife, to Nicholas Davis, being the same lands that were devised by David Davis Sr to his children, to be equally divided among them. Wit - Jacob Young, Geo. Scott (Frederick County JPs). Eleanor, the wife of the sd Elijah, relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned. Thomas Sim Lee, Clk Prince George's County Court, certified that David Craufurd and John Reid Magruder, Gentlemen, are JPs in sd county_ Benjd Dulany, Clk Frederick County Court, certified that Jacob Young and George Scott, Gentlemen, are JPs for sd county_ Recorded Mar 10, 1777.
