Samuel Amery Sr., Will, March 15, 1808; April 13, 1808
I, Samuel Amery of CC, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind;
I desire that my now dwelling plantation "Watsons Choice" be equally divided and considered as 2/3 of my landed estate and the residue of my land son Thomas lives on constitutes the other 1/3. My wife shall choose either of the two thirds as her dower during her life.
To son William during his life all my landed estate shall be under the care and management of my son Thomas. And after the death of my wife and my son William, the whole of my landed estate be equally divided amongst my son Thomas Amery, son Samuel Amery and my granddaughter Mary Amery Barber.
To wife Elizabeth, 1/3 of my negroes and 1/ of all my household and kitchen furniture and stock of all kinds except hogs, only 1/3 of which to go to her, also 1/3 of everything else.
To sons William, Thomas and Samuel Amery, my watch, wearing apparel and my saddle and bridle equally divided.
