Pages 369-372. Will of John Graham of Dumfries:
Son: Robert Graham 340 a.of land I purchased of Wm. Neal Maryland for which deeds are recorded in secretary's office as sd. land was also (formerly I lived). Also two hundred a. purchased Abraham Farrow adj. John MacRae & adj. 200 a. of Isaac Farrow called Cool Spring provided he does dispose of two tracts of land, if he does Ithe same to son William Graham practishonerphysick. I also bequeathed the same to son Walter the same restrictions.
Son: William Graham 150 a. purchased of Isaac Farrow Thomas Macken once lived called Cool Spring when I intent in short time to reside. I have sold to Burr Harrson, Gent. 9 a. of land mill which is part of above land bequeathed to William, I confirm sd. sale.
Son: Robert Graham pay yearly to br. John Graham 1000 Ibs. of tob. during the life of sd. John. If Robert dies I desire 1000 Ibs. to be raised out of Robert's estate.
Son: To John interest on 20,000 Ibs. of tob.yearly, but rec. principal what he is entitled from his gr.father's estate. To Robert 20,000 to reimburse for 10,000 Ibs. to be pd. to his br. John.
Son: Walter Graham 400 a. of land which I purchased from Robert Glen by deeds recorded in Pri Wm. Co
given to son Walter 4 lotts in town of Dumfries by hism desire conveyed to Elias Edmonds Jr.
Son: Catesby Graham lotts in Dumfries which he may choose out of any lotts not disposed of or bequeathed at time of my death. Also 150 a. which I purchased from Joseph Chapman the deeds recorded in Pro Wm. Co.
Dau: Jean Graham 4 lotts in Dumfries which she may choose after the lotts already bequeathed or that remains unsold at the time of my death.
Leg: Exors. may purchase a negroe girl for my dau. Jane Graham about 12-14 years of age, and appoint my son in law Wm. Edward Wiatt, and John Wiatt guardians to my dau. Jane & she to live with them. Any money or tob. to be raise out of my estate not heretofore bequeathed to maintenance of sd. dau. Jane untill she arises at age or maries.
Son: My servant man Daniel Macrea/Macred? to son Dr. Graham who has about 5 yrs. to servo
Leg: Lotts in Dumfries which I have not bequeathed or sold may be sold for creditt & money applied towards the payments of my debts. Exors. may prosecut suits which are now depending against William Farrow, Wm. Tebbs, or any other person indebted to me.
Exors: Sons Robert Graham, Dr. William Graham, John Wiatt, and William Edward Wiatt.

THIS INDENTURE made and entered into this First day of September in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six Between GUSTAVUS RICHARD BROWN and MARGARET his Wife, ROBERT GRAHAM, WILLIAM EDWARD WIATT and MARY his Wife, JOHN GRAHAM, WALTER GRAHAM, CATESBY GRAHAM and JEAN GRAHAM, of the one part and WILLIAM GRAHAM of other part; Witnesseth that (those named of the first part) in consideration of Five shillings to them in hand paid by WILLIAM GRAHAM, a certain tract of land situate in Prince William County containing by estimation Nine hundred and ninety nine acres which tract of land was by NATHANIEL BURWELL conveyed by Deed bearing date the fifteenth day of December one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three unto JOHN WIATT in Trust for ELIZABETH GRAHAM and her Children, as reference being had will more fully appear, together with all appurtenances of every kind and nature and all rents issues and profits unto the same; To have and to hold the recited tract of land with the appurtenances unto WILLIAM GRAHAM and his heirs in Trust for the purpose of selling and disposing of the same in order to raise sufficient sum of money to discharge and pay the ballance of the purchase money. together with all interest thereon due for the aforesaid tract of land by Bonds given and executed by a certain ELIZABETH GRAHAM now deceased, Mother to most of the parties to these presents and by said JOHN WIATT unto NATHANIEL BURWELL and by him assigned to other people and the said GUSTAVUS RICHARD, MARGARET, ROBERT, JOHN, WILLIAM EDWARD, MARY, WALTER, CATESBY and JEAN do agree with WILLIAM GRAHAM to make and execute any Deed or Instrument of Writing to convey to him the said WILLIAM GRAHAM their right to the aforesaid land in Trust for the purpose & object aforesaid in case the present should be deemed insufficient and ineffectual in Law to convey him, the said WILLIAM GRAHAM, their right; In Testimony whereof the said parties have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals the day and year above written
