At the request of John Pickrell the following Deed was recorded October 18, 1809
Indenture made September 21 1809; Edward Owen in consideration of 23 pounds 12 shillings and 6 pence current money paid by John Pickrell has sold part of a tract called "Widows Pleasure" and laid out for 10 ½ acres on September 20, 1809. Signed Edward Owen in the presence of and acknowledged before George H. Spalding, Daniel Smallwood
September 21 1809; Ann Owen wife of Edward Owen relinquished her right of dower

Deed made December 14, 1816; Edward Owen in consideration of $60 current money paid by Osborn Acton has sold in fee simple parts of tracts called "Dear Bought" and "Widows Pleasure" beginning on the East side of the main road leading from Port Tobacco to the Pine Church containing 11 acres and 21 perches.
