1752-1757 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber NN [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 353. At the request of William Robins the following Deed was recorded April 2, 1755
Indenture made March 11, 1755; between Joseph Fry of Fairfax County, Virginia, planter and Elizabeth Fry his wife of one part and William Robins of PGCo, planter of the other part. Whereas Thomas Lewis (father of Elizabeth Fry), late of PGCo was seized in his demesne as of fee of part of a tract called "Battersea", 100 acres of which being conveyed by Thomas Lewis unto Thomas Stonestreet, planter by deed bearing date January 22, 1709, and whereas there is still remaining unsold about 50 acres of Thomas Lewis' part of the original tract "Battersea" without the metes and bounds described in the deed, and whereas Thomas Lewis dying intestate. Leaving four daughters, Mary Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis, Anne Lewis and Catharine Lewis and no male issue, all the right to "Battersea" descended to his daughers. And whereas John Lewis, Jr., brother of Thomas Lewis was by virture of the last will and testament of Thomas Lewis, father to the aforementioned Thomas Lewis and John Lewis, Jr., bearing date March 2, 1695/6 seized in his right as tenant for life to 50 acres of "Battersea", that by the death of John Lewis (who survived his brother Thomas Lewis aforesaid) the four daughters became jointly seized in their right to the 50 acres of land of their father Thomas Lewis, heir at law to Thomas Lewis the father of Thomas Lewis and John Lewis. This indenture therefore witnesseth that Joseph Fry and Elizabeth Fry his wife in consideration of 400 pounds of tobacco paid by William Robins has sold all their right to the aforementioned estimated hundred acres of land. Signed Joseph Fry, Elizabeth Fry in the presence of John Hepburn, Benjamin Brookes and acknowledged before John Hepburn and at the same time Elizabeth Fry wife of Joseph Fry relinquished her right of dower

Indenture made August 1, 1755; between Joseph Hunt of Lunenburg County, Virginia, planter and Mary his wife of one part and William Robins of PGCo, planter of the other part. Whereas Thomas Lewis (father of Mary), late of PGCo was seized in his demesne as of fee of part of a tract called "Battersea", 100 acres of which being conveyed by Thomas Lewis unto Thomas Stonestreet, planter by deed bearing date January 22, 1709, and whereas there is still remaining unsold about 50 acres of Thomas Lewis' part of the original tract "Battersea" without the metes and bounds described in the deed, and whereas Thomas Lewis dying intestate. PGCo Sct, came Jonathan Hunt of Lunenburg County, Virginia one of the subscribing witnesses to the within deed and declared he was present and saw Joseph Hunt and Mary Hunt his wife seal execute and deliver the within deed. Sworn before us this February 14, 1756, John Hawkins, Jr., George Gantt
PGCo Sct, came Ignatius Wheeler and John Pickering, Jr. and in the name and behalf of Joseph Hunt and Mary Hunt acknowledged the within deed to be the right of William Robins. Acknowledged before us February 14, 1756, John Hawkins, Jr., George Gantt
