Randle McDaniel: Answers to Interrogatories proposed by the department of war
Answer 1st I was born in Meriland [Maryland] Frederick County about the Middle of March 1755.
2nd I have no Record of my age --
3rd In South Carolina from thence to North Carolina Montgomery County alone Pede [Pedee River] from thence back to South Carolina in Lancaster County thence to North Carolina Rutherford County from thence to Tennessee Cook County thence to Smith County Tennessee thence to White County Tennessee where I now Reside
4th I turned out Volunteer the first Tour and the second was drafted.
5th Col. Sumter General Marion Col. Richerson [Richardson] Col. Neel and Col. Thompson [probably William Thomson] with whom I was acquainted and did serve. I cannot state any circumstances more fully than I have done in the body of my declaration.
6th I never received a written discharge from the service
7th Major Isaac Taylor, John Taylor, Jeremiah Denton & the Rev. Henry Burton Sworn to and subscribed in open Court 25th May 1833.
