      Indenture made October 5, 1778; John Gantt, farmer of Berkeley County, Virginia in consideration of 5 shillings current money has granted and to farm let unto Levi Gantt, planter of PGCo during the natural life of the said John Gantt all those parts of tracts called by the name of "Brooke Grove" containing 130 acres being part of a tract sold by Thomas Brooke to Henry Wright and bounded by Thomas Gantt's land. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this October 5, 1778, John Gantt in the presence of and acknowledged before Christopher Lowndes, Richard Henderson
