      To wife Henrietta, extx., lot of ground #5 in Bladensburgh and a new house during life then to eldest son Jacob Wirt, other half of lot and value of said house to my daus. Catharine, Elizabeth and Henrietta and my sons Uriah Jasper and William Wirt. One third of personal estate during life to said wife then equally between my children.
      To son Uriah Jasper Wirt, rent of £25 per year from store in Bladensburgh. Tavern and other property and rents from same to my children. Eldest son to educate all my children.

      Indenture made January 15, 1767; George Conn, planter in consideration of 36 pounds currency as the coins pass in all payments relating to the inspection law paid by Jasper Wirt, mason has sold part of a tract called "Scotland" beginning at the end of the 1st line of "Scotland" belonging to the said Wirt containing and now laid out for 14 ¼ acres and 26 square perches.       Indenture made November 5, 1785; Elizabeth Wirt in the Town of Bladensburgh of one part and William John Jackson in Charles Thurston, Jr. of the said town, merchants in copartners of the other part. Witnessed that whereas Jacob Wirt the father of Elizabeth Wirt did by his last will and testament devise the following houses lots and improvements to be equally divided by his executors between his children, Jacob Wirt, Uriah Jasper Wirt, William Wirt, the said Elizabeth Wirt, Catherine Wirtz and Henrietta Wirt; the brick store on "Lot Number 6", the Tavern and back building on the other part of "Lot Number 6" and the counting house and "smith shop" on the half of "Lot Number 11"; And whereas "Lot Number 5" and "Lot Number 7" of the said town belong to Jacob Wirt and by which the residuary clause in his will were also to be equally divided between the children and whereas an amicable division has taken place and half of "Lot Number 7" which is next and adjoining the brick store and the half of "Lot Number 11" were allocated to Elizabeth Wirt as her share and proportion of her 6th part of said lots. And whereas Elizabeth Wirt has sold and conveyed to William John Jackson and Charles Thurston half of "Lot Number 11" by deed of indenture bearing date October 15th last. Now this indenture witness of Elizabeth Wirt in consideration of 62 pounds current money paid by William John Jackson and Charles Thurston has sold all that half or moiety of "Lot Number 7".       Indenture made May 24, 1794; Erasmus Gantt of Washington County, Maryland in consideration of 500 pounds current money of Maryland paid by Adam Miller of Anne Arundel County, Maryland has sold the following PGCo tracts; "Scotland" containing 100 acres and beginning at a white oak on the right of the main road leading from Bladensburgh to George Town, being the northeast corner tree of the late William Digges land and now in possession of the heirs of George Digges; part of "Scotland" containing 14 ½ acres and 26 square perches and conveyed to Jasper Wirt by Jacob Wirt on August 28, 1773; a small parcel of land heretofore bought by Jasper Wirt of the late George Conn which Wirt conveyed to me lying contiguous to the aforementioned Wirt's land. To have and to hold the land except 5/8 acre and 12 ½ square perches heretofore conveyed to Jasper Wirt out of "Scotland" by Erasmus Gantt.
